I shot this buck opening morning and despite two of his running mates were bigger than him , I couldn't be happier. I want to thank my buddy Ray Castillo for his help in harvesting this buck. He's a 7x4 and green scored 184 1/8......

I was , you should have stopped in and had breakfast with us... seeing as how I bought everyone breakfast in the restaurant that morning ( was a little happy I guess) .Wish I could say the same for the wife when she got this months credit card statement.

Been shooting 168gr Berger's w/ 36.2 gr of IMR 4320 out of the wife/daughters rifles this year. Very accurate load and accounted for 1-Elk , 2-deer this year....

Having not only lost a son myself but one who rode bulls with Dakota for a time , this hits very close to home for me. I cant say enough good about Dakota , Amanda and the entire family. I'm happy for the deer you harvested and your family has been in our prayers since the onset. God Bless......

Berger bullets for hunting

My daughter shot the 168gr vld's out of her 7mm-08 this year on her jr deer/elk hunts. Both animals were in excess of 220 yards and both did the two-step drop. I recovered the bullet in both animals and the meat damage was minimal. I was impressed to say the least.... -
I would cry if I found 1-set off that deer !!! Congrats on some awesome sheds....

Cody decided to go solo this year and shot a 2pt on Saturday . Katie hunted till last night , passing on several small bucks and went back to the valley . Cade and Elle both killed on the jr hunt and Melissa and I will head back out in the morning to try and find a good one for her.... Good luck in 32 and be safe !!!

I never really had a good shot at other bucks. We could'nt find the deer at first on the mountain range they have frequented for the past two years , so we circled all the way around it and headed up backside. As luck would have it , with the morning thermals at my back , we ran smack dab into them. I probably could have backed out and tried for one of the big ones later . I felt I had already pushed my luck enough and got away with a couple mistakes that should have cost me so I took him. I had a great time with my buddy and have no regrets......theres always next year
