Why don't you do a memorial post for him in the Memorial section of the forum. Post up some pics of him and tell some more stories. He sounds awesome!! You are indeed lucky to have spent so much time with him. Amanda That would be really cool !!! There is a lot of the younger hunters out there who have probably never heard of Lamell Ellsworth . He and others like him imo were the true hunters . They used plain old smarts and probably a little luck to harvest the animals they did. There was no high tech bows,rifles, laser range finders or trail cams back then . It was pounding the ground for days on end, understanding the aminals habits they were pursuing and following their sign. I can recall more than one story where these individuals slept under the stars and tracked their quarry for several days before finally harvesting them. Im amazed every time I hear tale of Lamell and others like him and only hope someday I can be half the hunter they were !!!

There is many individuals I would like to hear stories from and hopefully someday I will . Two for sure would be Bill Quimby and a legend from our area the late Lamell Ellsworth...
