That brings back some Buckeye memories for sure.

The most recent picture I saw it was short of the water. I believe it is 4% full. Picture is from the AZGFD Fishing Facebook Page posted on Saturday.

I was two for two this morning. Very few birds where I was.

It may have to do with a deficit of rain. I noticed a lot less agriculture this year too so maybe they only had one brood.

Check with Todd South with Southern Xpress he is in Mesa.

Parker DH 12 SXS Shotgun NO LONGER AVAILABLE
PRDATR replied to wannagohunting's topic in Classified Ads
How much are you asking for it? -
Not surprised. Lots of bears, close to civilization and very accessible.
-
Probably a Church Mens Group Brunch. Or some other event.
-
There is a lot of it once you get about 2500' in elevation give or take.

Wow what an intense read. Congratulations to you and your son.

Congratulations. That is a very respectable buck. Post the story when you come down from the high.

Adam is the man. Help a brother out.

I have a bunch of fresh corn. Maybe I'll cut some off the cobb and put it in the blender then strain it to add some flavor. Enchilada sauce is not the flavor profile i want.

Oh, NO NO NO NO! Here is where I'm, at so far. Bought a fresh pork shoulder roast, ~ 3 pounds from Food City. Took me 20 minutes to remove the bone and cut away all the fat, sinew and other undesirable stuff. That took two Tecate Lites. The limes went into the meat to help marinate and tenderize it. A few beers and limes later the cubed meat is still resting. The meat will get "lightly" browned in a Beehive Dutch Oven I got from Casey quite a few years ago. I did get some Roma tomatoes today from Food City @ fifty cents a pound but they won't be in this. Probably some onions, carrots and cilantro to taste. Maybe some potato too but cut into small cooked cubes added in the last 20 minutes or so.

High end Rifle question
PRDATR replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Yeah we can't all be Lance. LOL. Decide "realistically" what your hunting style has been. Ask yourself, What is your shot/kill ratio record? How far was your closest shot, how far was your farthest shot? Do your really really really need a sub 1/2 MOA rifle and if so under pressure will it matter or will you still miss by 10 MOA? -
Dibs on Soccer Mom's.

High end Rifle question
PRDATR replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I've never had a rifle that shot better after 100 rounds. That's just completely silly to say that. Whether it was a rifle bought solely for competition or hunting. -
And I won't charge you mileage.

Anyone use them? One of my sisters lives in a very rural part of Colorado and been getting visits from bears and lions leaving tracks on the driveway probably coming from the pond which is about 100 yards from the house. She is a few miles from town out in the stix. I thought a Spy Point would give them up to date pics since they have about 150 yards to take the trash cans out to the main road from the house.
-
Russ, this is a fair price and they don't come up very often. I had one in 7BR. One ragged hole at 100 yards. Jump on it.

We only had Garter and Ribbon snakes where I grew up. Garter snakes were more mellow than Ribbon snakes and less likely to bite but they would always secrete a stinky fluid when caught, except the young when they were first born. If a snake wasn't available locally you could pretty much order anything you wanted from the classified in the back of Field & Stream. There were also buyers so if you had just about any reptile or amphibian they would buy them whether it was one or in lots. Stick them in a box, take it to the post office and send it. One year my dad bought me a Florida Indigo Snake. It was midnight blue with an orange belly and 4' long. Very docile. I fed it mostly toads which were plentiful.

On a lighter note,,,,,. Whose ready for Dove?
PRDATR replied to PRDATR's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
If you can get out early in the morning at sunrise to scout that helps a lot.
