Ive hunted from Morman Lake to Cedar Flats and the elk never move because of lower temps. Hunt your usual area, they will still be there.

Awesome. Way to go CFK.

I get it that it's Friday but a little early to be hitting the Suds isn't it?

Yeah the 357 Sig is basically a 10mm necked down to 9mm.

I have an Axis Compact in 243 I bought in 2017 and the only reason I haven't changed to the Boyds is I want to keep it as light as possible.

That Boyds stock is a nice upgrade.

Super nice buck.

Need a resource to help an elderly stroke victim in NW Phoenix
PRDATR posted a topic in The Campfire
So, I got a call from a friend in Tucson last night. She has a friend who lives alone in NW Phoenix who recently had a stroke and a heart attack. She was sent home from the hospital a month or so ago and has been struggling. Mt friend isn't familiar with Phoenix so she called me asking if I knew of any resources. The only one that comes to mind is Meals on Wheels which would probably be a godsend but I think she could probably also benefit from someone checking in on her daily. Any recommendations? -
How much are you asking for it?

I always worked up my loads in the late fall or winter to simulate the temps I would be hunting in. The only animal I shot that was not below 50 degrees was a bear on September 12, 2000 up in South 23 in the early morning @ about 200 yards. I did shoot a Caribou on about September 10th about five years earlier east of Nome and it was maybe 50dgF @ 75 yards. Both with 120gr X Bullets.

Totally agree. No turkey tag for me this year but one of my sisters lives in Colorado and has turkey come through all the time so I am looking into getting a Spring Archery Tag and shoot one from her porch. LOL

It would be interesting to see the fps difference. I only ever used one brand of primers when I loaded for 7Mag on either the Barnes 120X Bullets or others like 140PMC, 160 Partitions or 168HPBT Match Sierras. The only powders I used were RL19 or RL22. I did try some Thunderbird Cartridge maybe the 8208, still have some of that. Sweet spot was usually between 69 and 71 grains.

General Rifle.

You got that right Jack. It's been good to me, except for that broken ankle.

You can add them to just about any sling. Uncle Mikes is probably the most common. Find a sling you like and add them to it.

As you found out this rule of thumb is just that. Nothing wrong with using it as a starting point. Many reloaders only stick with it for less than 5 years. It is a very dynamic hobby.

I have not. Ihave a 10x14 tent and use a Mr Heater Buddy, but not the large one. It's a no brainer for me adn i have used it for close to 20 years. I looked at the Nu Way and all I can say is research it well and get a CO2 monitor.

Cool looking buck.
