Of course they have no way of knowing if it was sold word of mouth so if it does pass I think most people will just go through an FFL holder as a CYA. And likewise they could have just come out and said any transfer of ownership must have a background check and go through an FFL holder.

SO how much do you have into this? What scope is on it.

Post that pic, strictly for entertainment purposes.

They did last year as I used it, maybe they stopped it after Christmas.

I agree with this point. Keeping the information and the use of the information in the future could be a concern. Question for anyone here; It's been a while since I've purchased a new gun. Do they still have you fill-out the same yellow form that has been there for decades? I know it's not background check related, but it sure does have critical information (name, address, serial number of firearm, etc.). What is everyone's opinion of the 'yellow form'? S. If you are buying from a licensed dealer you will be required to fill out a 4473. It stays with the dealer and he also records the sale infor, buyers name, serial # etc into a "Bound Book". The book and 4473 stay with the dealer until he is no longer a dealer at which time he turns it all into BATF. So pretend a firearm is used in a crime and recovered. Law Enforcement goes back to the manufacturer with the Ser#. They tell him which wholesaler they sent it to who in turn tells them what retailer/FFL Holder bought it and by him looking up his in log book and 4473 he gives them the name of the buyer. If the buyer sold it and didn't keep a record od who he sold it too (not currently required in AZ) the paper trail ends. http://www.atf.gov/files/forms/download/atf-f-4473-1.pdf Thanks much! That is a great comprehensive description of how the current system works! Interesting nuance regarding the government actually holding/storing the information vs. the retailer/FFL keeping the information. S. The Retailer/FFL Holder keeps the information indefinitely and only turns it over when they go out of business.

Been to Mosaic a few times, food was always good. There used to be a place on Valencia (?) on the way to Raytheon, little white block converted house, that was pretty good too but I don't remember the name. -
Pretty sure it is a misdemeanor to consume alcohol and shoot a firearm in AZ.

If you hit them good they don't go far. I like my Model 700 in 7mm, 120gr @3350.

You can always pay a few dollars and go through an FFL for the transfer.
-
Not a bad price considering I paid about the same back in January.

Actually,,,,,,,,,, the leash law is county wide. Pitt Bulls are like MIL's, some are nice but they can all turn on you in the blink of an eye. http://www.maricopa.gov/pets/pdf/ARS11.pdf

Are there any OTC tags for rifle spring bear available in any units?
-
Congrats. It is a bit more of a challenge using a hand call as they focus in on the sound and you are much more likely to get busted and you have to time it more as to when you stop calling and bring the rifle up to shoot in a second or too. It also takes a good set of lungs to call for 15 or 20 minutes.

What would Jack do? To go plastic or to not go plastic......
PRDATR replied to biglakejake's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I see no reason why he would not, after all when he was in contact with Sako I am sure he was aware that it was being built in the synthetic stock it came in. -
I've been out with these guys. We caught Marlin and Yellow Fin. Once you leave port they will drop sabiki's for bait and fishing starts about 5 miles out from shore. Get some scopace and be in good shape as an hour in the chair fighting a marlin will wear you down. We fished with big Penn Internationals and 130# Mono. http://www.sportfishing-hawaii.com/
