That is some great news. GSP's have a lot of energy, as you discovered. They are headstrong and love to run, run, run and then run some more. Probably the best overall gundog but getting there takes some dedication and a lot of one on one.

Does it have sights?

Do you have a clear title and are the tags up to date? -
I've been waiting for SAAMI to review it. 129gr @ 3400FPS and PBR of a little over 400 yards. Speculation is it was built off the 400 Jeffrey or 375 Ruger.

What's the craziest thing you have done while out hunting?

Or anywhere for that matter. -
Nice thing about the 22 is you can shoot 357 Sig by just buying a barrel from Lone Wolf for just over $100 or buy a 9mm barrel and a magazine from a G19 and shoot all three from the same pistol.

Back in NYC when I was growing up my friends Uncle Pauly did that all the time. -
WHo is he?

Cool to see the pictures, sounds like you had a great experience. Hope your buddy gets better and you must have had some flat walking to cover 4 miles in that short a time. It would have probably taken me a bit longer.

Note that the revised start time has been moved to 4:20.

I'd go back as soon as I had a chance. -
Great firearm and caliber. I had one that would put all the shots into one ragged hole.
-
Nice. What unit were you in? I always see a few of them south of Red Rock when I travel to Tucson.

Mine will turn 260K tomorrow. Original Owner and original transmission. It does not have the HP and torque of the newer ones but it get's me where I need to go.

What year F-250 did they come off?

Look at the Weatherby or the very accurate and affordable Marlin Model XS7Y Bolt-Action Youth Rifle 7mm-08.

Great gun. I had one in 480 that shot like a dream. Great for Prarie Dogs out to about 200 yards. I'm tempted so PM me with what else you have hanging around that goes with it like rings, case, ammo or cases, etc.

They are out there. The way the sale went down on that one was how shall we say, "interesting".

I'll be there tomorrow morning. Let me know if you want me to help. 602-499061 zero. Chris

That really stinks.

I have one in 22-250 and for those who are not familiar with these rifles they are very accurate due to them having a heavier receiver than the Model 700. They were commonly referred to as Remington's "Budget Tack Driver". They have a detachable magazine which holds three rounds and a 60* Bolt Lift with 9 lugs and the fastest lock time of any production bolt action ever made.

I was in Bass Pro over the weekend and they said they have been told sometime in March for them although they may be available from other places. I'd email Doug or call Neil at Cameraland.

None that I know of. In the past I've used http://www.optics4rent.com/.
