Can we use Pay Pal?

Good one. I spent some time up in Northern Maine where winter starts in October and goes until May and if it isn't snowing where you're at just get in your car (if you can get it started) and start driving. We would have to scrap the frost off the windows inside our mobile home to see out and 20 below was a warm spell.

Welcome to CWT, I have not hunted 35A so I can't be of much help but here is the link to the hunt unit on the G&F website. I would call G&F and ask to speak with the Game Warden for that unit. He will be able to give you some info on the area and they are usually pretty helpful. I would also get out every chance you get to scout and find a place to camp. With quail season just around the corner that would be a good opportunity to go out and familiarize yourself with the terrain also. Don't be afraid to stop in and talk to other hunters during the early hunt to see what they have to say. http://www.azgfd.gov/h_f/hunting_units_35a.shtml

You're probably safer closer to the border since they will already have water and will be well fed and rested so less likely to stop in your camp.

The narrator is Marlin Perkins from the TV show Wild Kingdom which was a weekly show in the 60's.

I not so sure about the "Winter" part but I sure love fall.

Good looking dog Ed. Folks when you figure the initial cost of buying a pup from a proven line and hoping it isn't gun shy then training and feeding it and Vet bills then ending up with a dog of this caliber this is an opportunity that does not come around but every few years.

Do you think one person can set it up?

My first time hunting Coues deer or unit 36A

Welcome to CWT. You should be fine out to 500 yards. What kind of accuracy are you getting @ 200 yards in the Marlin? http://www.barnesbullets.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/VOR-TX-trajectory-velocity-energy-REV-8-9-11-P.pdf -
Mmmm OK.

I kicked up a 4x4 Mulie Sunday morning about 10 miles south of Forest Lakes. Still in velvet. The Aspens were about 50% changed up on the Rim.

I have two 3x9's. One is a Bushnell I got in a trade that came as part of a factory rifle combo and I don't think it has been mounted. The other is a Leupold either a VX1 or a Rifleman I have had on and off a few rifles over the last five or six years. It has a few scratches but is a solid scope. If you would like to borrow them for your hunts PM me your address and I'll send them your way. They are both 1" tubes and have good glass.

I'll look and see what I have when I get home from work. Where is you're location? You can PM that to me if you want.

No comparison. KOWA all the way.

Looks like one I bumped in 23 yesterday morning chasing bugles and looking for Turkeys.

Everywhere I have seen them they are all the same price for any given size. I'd like to get a 105qt if anyone know of a better place to buy one that the usual places I'm all ears.

Basically a target bullet and a pi$$ poor design for a hunting bullet. Way too explosive similar to the Nosler Ballistic Tips.

Good Riddence. Seriously though I don't think he was bailing but it's nice to feel the love.

You might want to consider buying a standard length barreled rifle and have a gunsmith cut it down and re-crown it.
-
I have seen them all around the lake. There are some places to camp about 1/2 mile north of the lake.

Post them up over here. http://www.azpsg.com/forumdisplay.php?18-Want-to-Buy-Sell

The 4 Drag is a special kind of place.

I wonder if she would melt, if we poured some water on her. One could only hope. Just make sure the PH is really, really low.

Another thing to consider is who is going to be carrying the rifle all day? A light compact rifle is just that and after lugging it around for a few hours it can take a bit more effort to shoulder it and keep it steady while playing the waiting game for the animal to present a shot for a kill. I have a pre 64 Model 70 in 243 with a nice Zeiss scope on it but when I go pig hunting I grab my sons Youth 700 in the same caliber with a Leupold 2-7x33 on it just because it is so light. I also have a nice Estwing 22oz Framing Hammer that can be used on finishing nails in a pinch but I have another hammer that is better suited for that chore. Also letting her shoot bunnies and targets with a 22 to get the basics down is good too.

This would be my choice after handling the Ruger American, Savage and Remington 770. The Remington Youth Model is also great. I would choose the 243 as it has a very manageable recoil. I cut the stock down on a Remington Model 788 in 22-250 and my son and daughter used it to each kill a doe on the Kaibab when they were 11 and 12 but the 243 has a bit more power. I have a Remington Youth Model in 243 you could borrow to see if she likes it. It is a RMEF Edition my son won in a raffle in a Junior Elk Camp that was put on by RMEF and G&F. Just PM me if you are interested. Which Hunt does she have?
