    Savage Model 110 270 WIN

The E denoted the Economy Model. Nothing good or bad about it. Blind Magazine and non checkered birch stock. I bought one from another CWT Member last year in 30.06 and picked up a composite stock that was a take off from a fellow CWT member. It turned out to be a real shooter.

    Savage Model 110 270 WIN

It does not look like an Accu Trigger and looking at the scope it may be an early model. Antlers, which Model 110 is it, an "E" ?

FS Remington .222 Model 788 $450 or OBO.

Whoever did the stock did a very nice job of it. These are great guns, I have one in 22-250. The 222 dominated the Benchrest world for years until the 6mm PPC came on the scene. As far as I know the 788 still has the fastest lock time of any production bolt action rifle.

    Problem with neighbor's dog

Never own a dog you can't control 1000% of the time or are willing to put down in a nano second when it crosses the line. Some are companions or Service/Working Dogs. But make no mistake nor give them human qualities. They are animals, can't read or write, don't build things or will ever evolve past being dogs. Ever.

    Sportsmans Expo?

Nope. They always have them during the General Javelina hunt so I never make it.
  11. Contact ATF: Oppose 5.56 M855 Ball Ammunition Ban The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has announced it is seeking to ban commonplace 5.56 M855 ball ammunition as "armor piercing ammunition." ATF is seeking public comment on the proposal, so all industry employees, target shooters and gun owners should contact ATF to oppose this unnecessary ban, which is truly a solution in search of a problem and that raises serious questions about executive agency attitude and overreach. Stopped cold on Capitol Hill, this action appears to be the Obama administration's attempt to pursue gun control by other means. Commonly available steel-core, "green tip" M855 and SS109 rifle ammunition that is primarily intended and regularly used for "sporting purposes," like target shooting, has been exempt from federal law banning armor piercing ammunition for decades. There is no question that the 5.56 ball ammo has been in wide use by law abiding American citizens for sporting purposes. It is with the increasing prevalence of handgun versions of rifle platforms, that ATF now apparently sees an opening to now ban the widely used M855 and SS109 ammunition. It would be legally permissible to continue to possess and use so-defined "armor piercing" ammunition currently possessed. However, rescinding the decades-old exemption will have a major impact. It will become illegal to manufacture, import, distribute or sell at retail this very popular rifle target ammunition. ATF's proposed "framework" for applying the "sporting purpose" exemption test rewrites the law passed by Congress to disregard the manufacturer's intention that a projectile or cartridge is "primarily intended for a supporting purpose." ATF inappropriately places the focus on how criminals might misuse sporting ammunition in a handgun. Just as disturbing, language used by ATF in its long white paper refers to criminals as a "consumer group." The implication that the industry purposely sells firearms and ammunition to criminals is misleading and echoes the shopworn charges of the gun control lobby. Manufacturers will face serious limitations in their ability to develop and market alternative ammunition in other popular hunting rounds, such as .308 rifle hunting ammunition, if ATF's so-called "framework" is adopted. This will have a detrimental effect on hunting nationwide, especially in California where a total ban on traditional ammunition for hunting is being phased in now. ATF is soliciting comments on how it can best implement withdrawal of this exemption while "minimizing disruption to the ammunition and firearm industry and maximizing officer safety". Under the proposed framework, 30-06 M2AP cartridges would continue to be exempt because there are no multi-shot handguns generally available that accept such ammunition. The proposal is useless since standard lead-only 5.56 ammunition is "armor piercing" simply due to the round's velocity. Rifles in this caliber, or any caliber for that matter, are rarely used in crimes. ATF will accept comments on this proposal until March 16, 2015. Email or write ATF today and tell them you oppose this unnecessary, misguided and damaging ban on commonly used ammunition for America's most popular sporting rifles. Nice beaver!

Certainly not the vision we had when we saw "Nice Beaver" as a topic thread. Us males spend too much time with out minds in the gutter. First thing I thought of was Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nets.

Glad I didn't grow up here or I'd probably be all busted and a part cripple with no thumbs by now. Watch a Bull Rider get thrown off last night at 7.97 seconds. Tough way to make a buck, but I doubt most of them do it for the money.

    Best Truck Shocks?

I put Bilsteins on my F250 when it had about 90K on it and now it has 267K, no leaks or any other issues. Bought them here, http://www.shockwarehouse.com/?gclid=CIjPxfLP5sMCFYdafgodIS4AJQ

So I researched to -4 Model and it was produced from 1993 to 1997. I think this is one of the more desirable years as in 2001 they went to the internal lock. Bump for a nice rig.

    diesel owners school me please

The 2000 - 2003 F250 with the 7.3 is a great vehicle if you can find one with low mileage. Downside is lower HP than the newer 6.0 which began production in 2003 and that it has a straight front axle. I have a 2000 I bought new in 2/00 and with 267K on the clock I done little other than replace tires and change the oil which takes 15 qts. I have replaced the radiator, a couple of water pumps upgraded the alternator and the glow plug relay and one glow plug. The newer 6.0 which came out in 2003 has more power and the only issue I know of with them has been with the factory oil cooler getting clogged due to the way it was designed, but Bullet Proof Diesel in Mesa redesigned it and patented their design and it what the 6.0 owners all install in them for longevity. I believe in about 2004 or 2005 the F250 went to an independent front suspension which gives the truck a tighter turning radius and is a popular swap.

The only problem I see with birdshot is if you don't kill the dog you may end up getting sued for Vet Bills.

I wouldn't loose any sleep over it. The draw just ended so checks may be cashed for a week or two.
