I remember when we had a ton of rain back in about 78/79. SRP had no choice but to let water out of Saguaro into the Lower Salt and then into the riverbottom. The only way across it was on Central Ave, the I-10 by the airport and Mill Ave. ASU had just built and paved a new parkinglot and it go washed away. I also remember when the Gila flooded in 93. Sure made a mess out of Paloma Ranch and that whole area along the river.

That's awesome.

He was on one this morning but it flew as he drew back. He was pretty excited to say the least which is great because he lets himself get discouraged too easy.

Congrats. It is a lot of hard work.

LOL, not so sure about that but he did take my three decoys with him.

Definitely frustrating. If my son doesn't have any success I may go out with him this weekend to lend a hand.

Thanks. I though it may have been bigger but I really don't have any field experience in judging their weight.

Wind is always a game changer as are thunderstorms. Stay safe.

Was this a Tom? Did you weigh it?

My son is hunting with an OTC Archery Tag off the 200 Rd. He has not seen much and called me for some encouragement earlier today. This is his first solo hunt but he has hunted them before with me and he did manage to get on about five years ago. I told him to sit the tank he found and see if he could locate a roost . We'll see.

Steel case stuff. Brass is still about 30 cents. -
Tough when we were use to seeing it for 2-3 cents a round jump up to 7-10 cents a round.

That one was about 36" long. We didn't have a scale but I think it was maybe 20 to 25 pounds. Biggest one I've caught to date. This is a Louisiana Red caught in the Catfish Lake/Golden Meadow area. Thought I was snagged and then it realized it was hooked and it was on. I fought it for a good 20 minutes, multiple runs, before it rolled and we saw it was a Red. No net so my brother tailed it and pulled it into the boat. It was close to sunset. I made him take this picture and then I let it go. And people think Bass fishing is fun. At least Red's don't taste like dirt. I used an old I had Shimano Calcutta on a St Croix rod that I had bought the day before with about 15 or 20 pound test floroclear P-LINE. I like to fish Mirro-Lure top water lures but if memory serves me correctly I caught this on a jig head with a plastic bait on it. Most of the locals would rather fish for Specks but I'm a bonafide fishaholic so as long as I'm catching something I am a happy camper.

I heard someone running through the parking lot in the middle of the night. It was probably him. Sounded like he had basketball sneakers on. I went to the local Pawn Shop and a Mechanic friend of mine but they have not had anybody show up selling stuff.

Sometime Saturday night thieves broke a window in my work vehicle and made off with my Klein bag, all my electrician hand tools, two Rigid battery drills and two digital volt meters, one of which was a Fluke. This was in north central Mesa. The Klein bag was a two sided one that they don't make anymore and has the name Jose Vasquez on it if anyone comes across it. They also took a plastic bag with two hooded sweatshirts that were going to be a gift to a friend. One is red and the other is blue and on the front say You can take the girl out of Seaford but you can't take Seaford out of the girl and they are XL. They also hit my neighbors car again, last time a couple of weeks ago they took his battery.

How did your hunt go, see any birds?

One thing I will caution you about is there are Elk up there so make sure you don't mistake a calf elk for a doe. We had a mandatory check station we stopped at too.

I am renting and don't have insurance. The boss said they do not have insurance to cover our personal tools even though we take our company vehicles home 24/7. So I'm SOL it seems. Probably lost close to $600 in tools.

My Linesmens were already old when I got them 25 years ago.

I think it was 99 when I took my two kids. My son had a 30 yard shot Friday just before sunset and my daughter had a 200yd or so shot early the next morning. Both kids tagged out and we did see another hunter on Saturday but that was about it. All in all a pretty quiet hunt. We were near the 212 Rd and hunted off the 67 Rd.

My sisters kids were raised mostly without it. There is so much trash on TV anymore. -
She is now being investigated by CPS for publicly hitting her kid.

Didn't look like a slap. The reporter was getting too pushy. http://dailycaller.com/2015/04/30/al-sharpton-gets-in-physical-confrontation-with-fox-news-reporter-video/
