any experience with them? Do they grow like eldarica pines? I know two guys near me have pines, one is doing awesome and the other is struggling. The one I've been able to talk to (eldarica) and the other guy I haven't, not sure if they're the same but kept better? But they are growing great!! A few feet a year. What ever they are. They are two different pines.

For anyone who has bought a commercial box call you really owe it to yourself to go and try one of his calls. -

Bait casters will take some practice to be able to make casts without having the line birdnest on the reel and will also be tougher to cast into the wind just for that reason. You might want to look into a spinning reel. Something with a rod in Medium/Heavy (MH) about 6 1/2 to 7' long and 8-15 pound test line. Lots of times you can find a decent combo at Sportsmans but they usually come with cheap line that doesn't cast well and retains memory. They can also respool the reel for you right there with some better line.

Looks like a screwdriver handle with a magnet in it.

22-250 or .243 for yotes and mulies
PRDATR replied to AR15RDY's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
243 is light for Mule Deer. Will get it done though if you are a crack shot within a reasonable distance. But as the deer get bigger and the distances get longer the margin of error increases exponentially. 22-250 is fine for yotes out as far where you may need a rangefinder to compensate. Now if I was shooting Mulies, I wouldn't use anything less than a 7 Mag or 308. Probably not what you wanted to hear but you asked the question because you don't have the experience under your belt (everyone needs to start somewhere) or you are just looking for affirmation on your choices but step your game up for deer. -
