Live Alberta Canada trip report
PRDATR replied to Big Browns's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Stop in at a local store and see if someone has a dog to track it. I know the feeling, I lost a 6x7 in 6A about 3 years ago searched for days. We had a huge downpour that lasted for about 10 minutes and washed away any sign. Still sick over it. -
Once summer sets in practically every weekend gets crowded so just go and enjoy yourself. Woods Canyon is more kid friendly terrain wise than Knoll and the fishing is usually better. http://www.reserveamerica.com/camping/Spillway_Az/r/campsiteDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&siteId=6735&parkId=70477

Hang in there bud. Are you hunting spot and stalk on public land? -
Great movie. I admire how he and John Wayne always made it a point to have roles in their films for friends and family.

Nice play by play. Enjoy yourself. -
I have 243 Vanguard S2 Youth Model with a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40. Straight trade. I bought the scope from a CWT member about 4 years ago and the rifle two years ago. It was new, he won it in a raffle for the MD foundation. Probably has 100 rounds through it and has been on two pig hunts. I have the box, manual and stock spacer to lengthen the pull. Scope is in very good condition but I realize most people today want more magnification. Also have an older 788 in 22-250. I have two stocks for it. The original I cut down so my kids could use it on a Kaibab Youth hunt back around 2001. I have since bought a new factory stock from Numrich Arms about 10 years ago.

Long story my 26 year old son needs one after suffering a heart attack last week while at the gym. As I found out today there are two types. One has leads/probes while the other type does not. Those who have one will know what I am talking about. He has been in ICU for a week and we have a day or two to decide and I am researching the heck out of them so ANY feedback from the CWT Family is more than appreciated.

Thanks all. He was going to get out today from Banner Desert and go to Banner Baywood for rehab but they don't take his insurance and they said he needed to have a cardiologist doctor to be released into the care of which we found out at 4pm, so he has to stay until we can either find a suitable rehab and also find a cardiologist who will accept his health insurance. The cardiologist he has had for the last 18 days does not accept his insurance. He was In between jobs and had none but his Mom got him signed up with AHCCCS at the hospital and he has United Healthcare Medicaid so we will need to search the website for a cardiologist over the weekend and get him into one on Monday, hopefully.

I think we did PE 3X a week when I was in school.

Bill, It will keep his heart rhythm steady and he has been recovering. They did the surgery on the 5th and as of this morning he was off the IV's and he may get discharged to another facility for rehab possibly late today or tomorrow. He developed a hematoma two days after surgery but it has stopped and is now under control. He has been taking some walks under his own power without a walker and went about 300 feet on Sunday and again on Tuesday. He is on a restricted diet and has lost about 20 pounds so far. I went out and got him an electric razor this morning so he could shave because he is on blood thinners and they don't want him to use a regular razor. His EKG looked promising but his heart is still enlarged and only at about 30%. We will just have to monitor it from here on out. Thanks for asking. I am back to work this week but I have been spending some time with him in each morning before I go to work and then again in the evening after work.

Calf is lucky those three yotes didn't decide to get in on the action.

I went into the Safe Store today and kicked the tires on a few models. I really like the Liberty Tactical 24 even though it isn't exactly what I was looking for in the interior it is more than I need capacity wise.

Awesome. I was reminicing about my daughter a while back and found a shoebox full of pictures and most of them of her growing up were with a fishing pole in her hand.
-
Very cool and congrats to you and your wife.

I have never hunted either for anything but it sounds like you should try knocking on a few doors. Couldn't hurt. http://www.gf.state.az.us/h_f/hunting_units_2a.shtml http://www.gf.state.az.us/h_f/hunting_units_2b.shtml Also contact the regional G&F Office and ask to be put in tough with the Wildlife Manager for the areas, maybe you can do a ride-a-long.

I have never had the need to do so.

I saw one a couple of years ago up east of Payson that had head gear in June.
-
Congrats. I would love to do a hunt for those one day.

No problem, glad to help. Welcome to Coues Whitetail.
