Since 1980 I've owned 5 trucks of which two were not 4WD. My F250 is 16 years old and has 278K on it and has probably been through about 6 sets of tires. That would probably be more if it were only 2WD as I would probably spin them more. If I didn't have 4WD I would probably have to hike twice as far to get away from people since I have never owned an ATV and always hunt from camp on foot. So yes you don't need one per say but it is nice to have when it is time to get back out sometimes. Going down long steep grades it will help to keep you from loosing it and going up those steep ones it helps to keep you from tearing up the tires because they will eventually spin as you could slide off the road when you loose traction. Just learn to hunt within the practical limits of your equipment. Good topic.

Cool post. That grayish blue text is a little tough to read though. I had almost forgot I have a couple of Nylon 66's too.

I used it a lot (Power Pro) on my Calcutta with conventional guides on both Ugly Sticks and a St Croix without any issues so I doubt it will be an issue with metal guides. Now I'm back to PLINE Flouroclear.

From what I have heard you have a couple of weeks to restore your computer back to what version it had. I went in and deleted the Windows 10 download and then turned off updates. I may do it later but I have not heard of a single instance where the update went smoothly. There should be a Class Action Suit against MS for the stuff they pull. I'm not very savy so when I run into issues I usually google the heck out of it until I resolve it. I changed the ram in my HP laptop yesterday from 2G to 8G and it helped to speed up my browser and load pages faster. I went into updates on Sunday and there were a couple of pages of them for various things. If I click on one it puts a check in that box so I could pick which ones I wanted. Guess what, lo and behold and the very bottom the last update was for Windows 10, already checked. So,,,,,, if you pick an update to run W10 automatically gets launched too and there is no way to uncheck it. -
$2K is dirt cheap. It is a lot of time and money to rebuild it right.

I picked up a bunch of T-Bones at Bashas that were marked down and tossed them in the freezer. I usually grill them with fresh garlic, butter and a little Chef Pauls. I stopped using salt years ago. Unfortunately all the so called Chefs on the cooking shows use it a black pepper like they are the only two spices available.

Some of you know I just love to Fish Woods Canyon Lake so with some personal stormy weather under the bow last night I re-spooled my ultralights. Something I was scheduled to do last month before life got in the way. I woke up a 2:30 this morning and jumped in the shower then loaded my stuff in the truck and was down the road to QT for coffee by 2:42. I got to the lake at about 4:35. I fished by the spillway, the spillway, sun came up and some people came by and pushed out a few cow elk. The lake was like glass and the air temps were in the high 40's. I threw some rooster tails, mepps and a couple of castmasters but to no avail and fish were active. I moved closer to the boatramp to a place where I usually do really well but nothing and moved after a few hours. There were very few shore fisherman, almost nill and even fewer boats until after 9am. I moved back about halfway back up to the spillway at 9:30 and continued to throw everything in my tackle box at them. I finally had a couple of fish follow a mini-crawdad lure and was bumped but missed the hookset. Plenty of Bald Eagles and Ospreys around to pass the time. I decided to put some power eggs on on of the poles and put that out too while I fished lures from the bank. I was using crank baits too, some micros and some minnow lures too but nothing really until I tied on a trout colored castmaster. I missed the first bite but had a solid hookup a few casts later and managed to land it. After a picture it went into the fish basket a no sooner made another cast and hooked up again. While I was reeling it in the pole with the power eggs started dancing and I managed to irk out another fish, a rainbow. So happy to not get get skunked. I cleaned them and headed back at 1PM. A mile or so before Preachers Canyon traffic came to a standstill and it took 1 1/2 hours to get to Payson. No biggie but I didn't expect that. Once home I cleaned them the rest of the way after gutting them at the lake and cut off the fins, heads and scaled them. Now here is the unexpected part. The Tigers don't really have any scales and are as slimy as an eel. I have some Javi in the crok pot since yesterday so the trout went into the freezer for tomorrow. Both of the TT inhaled the treble hook.

It only seems to happen when bringing up the main page for me and not when I just go directly to teh forums. -
Great way to get it done.

Prayers for you and your family.

To be honest you are most likely not going to find any limbs for an 11 yo bow. Bows are expensive but if you get one now he will have time to tune it and get used to it before the hunt. If you finds limbs down the road then you are golden but I wouldn't wait too long.

We're not alone.

Just gotta ask, where did you but that shag carpet from?
-
Thanks. There are plenty on the banks all dried up. If I was into Cichlids I would take a few home and add them to the tank but my native fishes tank has fish that are too small and would get eaten.

I think the record is about 20#. Hopefully they will eat all the bluegill in there. They are sterile and can't reproduce so from I read they are a hybrid between a Brook and Brown trout when one has 84 chromosomes and the other 80.

I always suspected Mr Ed.
-
I started noticing scores of 1" - 3" bluegill last year. Probably have to rotenone the lake in a few years.

Just noticed it today. It is back to the old brown from the blue and white.
