Nicely done, which bullet did you use? -
Look and see what REI has. I used to have an old small frame Boy Scout frame but I may have given it away. I'll look when I get home this evening.

Sounds like a good place to work.

Kelty frame, with a Boyds pack, maybe 2200cu". I prefer a external frame to have some air between me and the pack to provide some air circulation that keeps the sweat off. I have a piece of pipe insulation on one side for when I sling my rifle on the frame to keep it from banging around. This pack is a good 10 years old and is quiet but the zipper on one side comes apart every now and then and should get replaced but I found that spraying it with Pam helps out. I can pack out a boned out WT with no problem in it. I like this setup because I can put a liter bottle of water in each side pouch and empty it is about 2 pounds or a bit more.

I didn't know it came with such a short barrel. My 22-250 is probably close to 23", still fairly heavy though. Good luck with the sale.

I remember many trips into Horseshoe and just before Mexican Camp the wash would be running a foot or more deep in places during late December in the late 80's early 90's.

Guess that means there is snow on Four Peaks. It's usually dark when I go out to head into work in the mornings.

How is he with groups? Maybe start going with him to some Mule Deer Foundation meetings. He might click with someone. https://muledeer.org/state/arizona/ -
Not sure how I missed reading your story but congrats on a great buck. That is some pretty rough looking stuff.

Yes, I have hunted it a few times from the 15th to the 23rd and the rut was barely starting when I left. This was Horshoe Canyon/Mexican Camp area.

Beautiful buck and obviously well earned. -
Surely someone has a trailer that will just be sitting around unused. I'll offer up $100 for your trouble.

Prices haven't changed much. My guess is he is liquidating a stash that was aquired few years back, still not a bad price and I doubt it will get rolled back much on the retail end or we would see Black Friday sales galore.

A few years ago my niece turned 39 and with both of her kids in HS she got pregnant. After 10 years into her second marriage. My former Branch Manager and his wife couldn't make it happen after 10 years so they adopted three kids from Panama. Two years later she came up pregnant. There is always a chance, stars sometimes just have to align.
