I have only been told I was needed twice. One day I sat there all morning waiting to be picked but wasn't and got dismissed. The other time I was picked, along with about 20 or so other people and sat in the courtroom and we were questioned about our understanding of prostitution laws and whether we thought it should be legal along with what we did for a living. Didn't make the cut either. They will give you an automated phone number to call a few days before the date to see if you will be needed and have to report.

PPU BRASS - WILL LOAD BUT NOT RE-LOAD AFTER FIRING

Have you had this problem with other brass? -
I personally like an external frame pack. I have a Kelty frame with a Boyds pack attached to it. If gives me the support I desire and the frame keeps the pack off my back so I don't sweat as much. I put a piece of foam pipe insulation on the right side for when I need both hands free and hook the rifle sling over the top right corner of the frame. I'm on my third frame in 30 years. I also have a Rustlers Ridge pack my son bought me but don't use it as much as the frame pack. I strictly do day hunts so the Boyds pack at about 2500 cu in works out well as I usually don't hike more than about 5-6 miles a day.

Picking up Shotgun Shells

Well sometimes you miss a few and encounter a LE who doesn't hunt. Just an FYI, it can get serious. -

Always seems to be a good flight happening around Tangerine and the 10. -
I've hunted it three times and will add that helio's flying low at night may keep you up a bit. My only "encounter" was fortunately a near miss. As my son and I were traversing a hillside the trail went under some trees (oaks?) and there I came upon a well hidden camp with a sleeping area, magazines, food stove etc. Glad it was unoccupied at the time.

I used to have an H&S Precision stock on a 700 I used for Silhouette that had pillars and I would just snug the screws up with a T Handle. The zero would never change when I took the action out. You can borrow my Wheeler if you like when the stock comes in. -
First pig I ever took was with a TC in 223.

Lame! No big deal. It's just a room clearing gun. Does anyone seriously believe it is worthwhile spending that kind of $$$ for the cool factor? To the OP, if you want a handgun for HAM hunts get a revolver or a TC that doesn't weigh 4#'s and actually has some resale value.

I guess I am paranoid about the dirt that will just sit there and cause rust and damage where it gets trapped. I had my old ford for close to 30 years and don't see myself buying another truck for another 30 so was just worried about longevity. Guess it is an old fart thing maybe........ I have the factory running boards on my F-250. Just bent one so I will have to look for another one or a pair.

Trigger options for older Howa 1500
PRDATR replied to PowellSixO's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Good to know. I have a Weatherby S2 and don't like the trigger. -
I am kinda disappointed in myself that I didn't notice it when I bought the truck cause I think if I would have told them I wouldn't take it without them they would have put them in for me. Seems like it would be just normal factory just to help reduce rust and wear on the body!! If you can get a Ford PN go to Sunrise Ford in Southern California or Tousley (Auto Nation) Ford in MN for the best pricing.

But is there spark? DId you try a squirt of starting fluid?

Now I need to find/buy a decent inch pound torque wrench. It's amazing how many brands get mixed reviews. It seems the Wheeler Fat Wrench quality has improved the last couple years.Any suggestions? I bought a Wheeler last year and it is easy to use. -
