It was their thing. My Dad was born in 1919, didn't serve because he was the youngest of three brothers so they wouldn't enlist him. He would tell me about how much guff he would get from people everyday because he was home. Must have been tough. I was born a while after WWll, boomer. Dads didn't talk about that war and my grandfather talked quite a bit about WW1. He died on October 16th, 1961 when I was nine. I remember him saying that on Christmas Eve the Allied's and the Germans sang Christmas Carols during the cease fire.Worshiped that man.

Sadly lots of people drive like that when on dirt.

They are pretty much all over from Central America up to parts of Canada and have been introduced to parts of Europe and elsewhere.

Move the scope to another rifle and see what happens.

Nice rifle should go fast. Wish I didn't need an IDM for my truck.

I used to have a fixed power 30X Bauch & Lomb I used for everything until someone came into my camp in New River and took it about 20 years ago.

Yup, stuff gets lost, dropped and left behind. Just happens. A friend set a pair of binos down and then forgot about them, went back but could not find the actual spot he was in. Probably still there. I lost a Dan Wesson revolver about 30 years, probably fell out of the holster when I went through a barbed wire fence. Didn't notice it for quite a while, pretty sure someone picked it up.

Looks familiar, I shot a javelina with my bow about 15 years ago if it is where I think it is. -
How old were you when you started hunting big game?

They switched to Gold from Green I believe when the 6.0 came out because supposedly it didn't need the additive like the green did but I have since heard using the strips and putting in the additive is also a good idea when switching to or using the gold. A local guy up here swears by the Cat ELC which is probably what I switch to in my 7.3,,,,,after hunting season and my Coues hunt to Sonora in January.

About 15 years ago I was asked by my BIL to come out to his place just a ways from Silly Mtn Rd to shoot some coyotes that had been perstering his Greman Shepard Dog and eating his food. So early one morning I went out and walked down a wash until I found a decent ambush spot to call from. I had a little fold up stool with me so I backed up inside a Palo Verde, unfolded the stool and while looking around I put the stool behind my back and set it down. I heard a muffled sound like a deep hiss from a housecat. I looked down and there was a pretty big diamondback. I'm a bit more careful now. LOL

Something new as far as I know although they have always promoted "Watchable Wildlife".

Welcome, there are a few waterfowl hunters here that should chime in soon, I've never hunted them so I am of zero help.

Crazy Joe Biden (the wife groper) is in the on deck circle. I'd much rather see in in there than her. Actually I think just about anyone would be a better choice.
