I have a first year stainless 700 ADL. Probably weighs more than a blue version. It sports a Zeiss scope and might be about 9 pounds. Wish it was closer to 7.

I hear Amazon is having most of their employees go to 30 hour weeks. LOL

Congrats Mike, that has been a popular hunt no doubt and it sounds like a memorable one.

Tried to start a poll but it didn't work ?

This is why she is going to steal the election. -
You can drill them out bigger then glue in dowels and redrill.

I have never seen one. A good visual inspection after they come out of the tumbler will let you see splits and sometimes the ring before the case seperates but I have never seen a case separation on anything other than 223/5.56 cases.

They had a few options for that. I looked at their other stuff and the deals were about the usual markdown but the Terra line was pretty low.

Not to hijack the thread by Lance when he mentioned he compared this scope to some others and it came out on top I went out on the web to see what I could find on it. I am familiar with the HD line but not the Terra. Well it didn't take long to find and I know that Lance got a great price buy when I saw this I figured it had to be a misprint or something. Well I went ahead and ordered one and it is on the way, free shipping too and there is also a 2x7 model for a bit less. https://www.universalmania.com/products/zeiss-terra-3-x-3-9x42mm-rifle-scope-with-z-plex-20-reticle?variant=26305929863&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA&scid=scplp26305929863&sc_intid=26305929863&gclid=CIC-06_Eps8CFVJbfgod_CwLYQ

Putting an action in a stock
PRDATR replied to trphyhntr's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
45-65 depending on the manufacturer of the action and what the stock manufacturer specs. Tikka is around 45 and Remington (Milspec) is 65. When I had a 700 action in an H&S stock I just used a T Handle and snugged them both up and it worked fine but this was a competition rifle. -
This is a pretty good video since it also shows how active a beheaded snake can still be an hour later. http://www.wideopenspaces.com/learn-how-to-field-dress-a-rattlesnake/

It's a city thing. Look at the protest that will shut down the Mill Avenue Bridge on Monday. How about the 500 or so killings in Chicago thus far this year. People are beetchn that it is because the Mayor or governour never hired the 1K cops he/she promised. Make perfect sence right? Hire 1000 trigger happy kids fresh out of the academy that will flood the neighborhoods and will learn the hard way byt popping more perps who don't kiss their butt and comply with the law of de'jour. The people wanting the Windy City to come to their rescue and clean up their streets are the same people who won't put in the constant 24/7 vigilance to change the neighborhoods, not different than Compton or the other places in this country where people just sit back and take it letting drug dealers, punks and hookers walk around like it's nobody's business. Add 1K more cops and "The Element" will just push back. Their style will be crimped, and taxes will go up for more body bags, bigger jails. Just where is the City of Chicago going to come up with $50 million dollars for their salary? How about the training, gear and OT to train and support them? Want to be a professional? In my trade you hit the ground running and if you are lucky in 3-5 years you can actually be left on your own with the ability to train an underling.

I Definitely Have A Sickness
PRDATR replied to lancetkenyon's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
My $100 marlin 60/Tasco will put squirrels in the pot! True, but if you need to call in a "Professional",,,,,,,,,,,,,,, And the nice thing about the one Lance has is you can put more peanut butter on that heavy barrel. I messed up when I ordered the scope. Put in a Tempe address and zip but my browser put in Mesa. I have a email into the company I bought the scope from after I tried to call them but I should be able to correct it with UPS. Well worth the hassel since it was 50% off list and free shipping. Might need to get a few more for Christmas gifts. -

That's a smoking price. I could always use another scope and a great price too so I ordered one. -
Very cool, that bear looked pretty focused.
