I shot my first Javelina up off Cowboy Miller Road with a 223 TC way back in the 80's when the road had a locked gate back in a ways.

So what do the people who live here do for a living? Herders?

So that's what the top of the world looks like.

I heard a lone bugle at Woods Canyon Lake Friday night. I also heard a flock of geese a little after sundown and then again at first light in the morning. As I was cooking breakfast I heard a turkey gobble about 7:15 just past the spillway. I have heard they gobble all year but that was the first time I actually heard one in the fall.

I have an early 50's Model 70 I bought years ago but never shoot it. Maybe I should rebarrel it since I have another 243 I shoot more.

What are the best aftermarket barrel options?
PRDATR replied to Presmyk's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
When I first started shooting Silhouette, there was a guy that was shooting that was doing the drilling for Schneider, Gary would pay him in cast off barrels, just about everybody on the line was shooting a Schneider barrel, not so popular anymore. Don't know about now but back then Tubb was shooting a Schneider barrel, I was told that he ordered them ten at a time, and this was before he was making and marketing his own guns, so he was ordering them for personal use. Sam Shelly. I always go a kick out of how he would epoxy the barreled action into the stock. One of his guns was a 6.5/284 back in about 94 or so. -

Yep, one of the few towns in AZ that actually has a no huntin within town limits law. I got cited for huntin rabbits with an air rifle several yrs ago. Funny thing is the Sherrifs deputies that came out called game and fish on us and when they came out they even said it was stupid. Told us exactly where to go just down the rd where we would be legal. The game warden sat there and bsd with us while we were cleanin our rabbits while the deputies were thumbin threw a book tryin to decide what they could nail us for. Deputies were pist off so they confiscated our air rifles but we were huntin rabbits 10 mins later with our wrist rockets a mile down the rd. Ended up payin a $50 fine. Did you get the rifles back.

Thanks for the reminder Bob, I bought them about a month or two back. Should have 2 for deer and 3 for Lope.

Buck down. Story. Plus something weird

Sounds like an extreme case of liver flukes. I doubt it is CWD or Blue Tongue but I would take the liver and brain matter to G&F. -
They told us we could have 35 pounds of fish if we wanted.

Great story and congrats on the buck.

Call and talk to Shannon or AJ and see who they recommend. I chartered a day trip with them about 9 years ago with my buddy and our three kids. His daughter boated a Marlin in the 375-400 pound range while we were trolling about 30 minutes after my son caught a YellowFin that was about 135-150. She took about 45 minutes to get it to the boat and he took about 30 minutes. Unfortunately she and her brother got sick so we called it a day just before noon. The price was right at $650. https://live-bait.com/

that also happened to us outside of hermosillo, traveling at night. Make no doubt about it I love going there. I think my blood pressure drops 20 points while I'm there.

Midway was free shipping in the early days. Now you either pay tax locally and gas to get there or pay shipping. No free lunch.

Looking for HSM 6.5x284 Norma ammo resource

Your inbox is full. http://store.iqmetals.com/65x284norma.aspx Thanks! Dang...that stuff is expensive...not to mention shipping. I keep telling him he may need to switch to Nosler. Just depends on how much he shoots. He can always roll his own but the cost takes quite a bit to recoup. -
