I have never had the opportunity to hunt New Mexico or though about it before. But since it is so close I am thinking I should give it a go but really don't know where to start. -

Significant Events Active fire activity with uphill runs, flanking and backing. Outlook Planned Actions Fire crews made good progress in their efforts to mop-up along existing roads, dozer and fire lines. Air resources were used at the confluence of Long Tom Canyon and Chevelon Canyon. They also assisted ground crews in scouting for holding features and fire activity. Projected Incident Activity Today’s operational period objectives will focus towards fire containment while providing for firefighter safety. Current Weather Weather Concerns Warm and dry conditions will continue across northern Arizona. With maximum temperatures ranging between 78-89 degrees with North winds at 10 mph shifting to the west in the afternoon. Winds expected to increase 5 mph each day forecasted to be 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph by Saturday. Slight chance of thunderstorms on Thursday.

We kept our range battery on a battery tender, outdoors and it died, as stated with regular water maintenence. Some of the old timers would put some battery oil in each cell especially on RV's.
