Great dogs for sure. I'd take him but with the holidays coming and a trip to NYC money is a little tighter this season. How flexible are you on the price?

Maybe he's getting revenge, better watchout Firstcoueswasaspike. LOL

Well my first spot just had some mule deer doe so I moved a few miles later that day and hunted it the next morning. About an hour after sunrise I glassed up a buck, small 4x4 mulie. Then a short time later a couple of mulie doe about 140 yards odd and then a small mulie doe at about 500 yards. I know their areas overlap so I stuck around and finally glassed up a coues doe with a weird white fuzzy tail. I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't so hot and the stinking fighter jets would have not been flying overnight until 3AM. Camped next to a couple of guys who had their sons with them for the first few day and managed a couple of small bucks for them but they hadn't seen any other bucks and hunted a few miles from me and said they were running into mule deer quite a bit too.

I guess the old saying a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp knife need some rethinking. Glad you had cell service.

Cool looking buck.

Fenix. I have a hand held too. I use the 3500mA rechargable batteries. Both have 5 levels and are 1000 Lumens and will last a long time on charges. Made from extruded aluminum.

I never hunted much growing up, just twice with my dad. When I moved to the great state of Arizona I got the bug. Started out solo and was very green. Managed to get a spike. One of the guys I worked with was from Michigan and we started hunting together and he taught me a lot, back in the mid 80's. We hunted mostly predators and honed our skills shooting High Power Silhouette. In the off season we would go to Congress and shoot jacks. Back in the day we would hunt 29 every year when tags were guarnteed and stay for a week or 10 days. Then he moved and I went back to hunting solo. When my kids were born I would take them and my son became my hunting buddy for big game until last year when he had a series of heart attacks, about 8 in one night and then another one three weeks later. We still bird hunt be he can't do hill anymore so I'm back to solo. I always see to do better when hunting solo but my eyes aren't so good at spotting to pick out deer, even with 15's. I don't mind camping by myself but it sure is good to have people back in camp at the end of the day to talk to. Sorry for being so long winded. Had a major screw up today and drove to 36A from Mesa and forgot to toss that 50# Kodiak in the truck so I came back after hunting all day. Only saw some doe's but I'm headed back in the morning and coming back Wednesday evening. I enjoy the beauty and solace.

I wouldn't be too concerned with getting a rifle that shoots bug holes for a child. At that age run of the mill accuracy is just fine until they are old enough to grasp the concept of killing a big game animal for themselves. Sorry, but I see way too many parents with deep pockets letting children snipe animals at ridiculous distances to feed their egos instead of giving them a capable rifle and letting them walk the opposite ridge by themselves within sight and learning the skills on their own. Off Soapbox. -
or just put in some glycol

I use one of these but Wiggys makes good stuff. They custom made a sleeping for me for my son and put the zipper on the side I wanted. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P6DJ8O/ref=asc_df_B000P6DJ8O5255308/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=394997&creativeASIN=B000P6DJ8O&linkCode=df0&hvadid=194852051030&hvpos=1o5&hvnetw=g&hvrand=908041124563650160&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030087&hvtargid=pla-315750788775

I can't see the pic for some reason but as others have said cool animals. I called one in many years ago near Congress and my buddy shot it and had it mounted. I did see one lying in the road in 36A Sunday while I was on the TR Ranch road. Looked like it had just been hit.

It was in Europe, they do a lot of that there especially for boar, probably for the last 1000 years.

If that is the case you may be able to go to any Walmart and have them look to see who has one in stock. Adam he can borrow mine if he needs one for a hunt, Leica 1600. I'll be using it this weekend and most of next week down in 36A.
