I think they were designed off the old Quadra Jets. The Holleys were easier to break down and clean.

What kind of carburator?

Call them to see if they need to go to Austria since you bought them in France. The new ones can also be ordered in Hunter Orange but I'm not sure if that is an option yet for the US market.

There are a couple of hamburger joints that cut fresh potatoes, maybe In-Out? Go to one and ask what they are using. Mount it vertically. Once you cut them let them soak a bit in cold water to get rid of some of the starch. 50 years ago when I worked in a burger joint called Wetsons in Levittown on Long Island we would cut them and then fry them for a minute and hang them for the crew to cook the rest of the day. I would usually do about 50 baskets in the morning on a Saturday which would last until mid afternoon then we would do another batch which would last until we closed at about 2AM. We cooked them about 2 minutes after that as we needed them. We cooked them in lard, changed the oil every day.

I'll take a look at them next time I go to Sprouts. Curious as to how much sodium, sugar and MSG they add.

Do you have any experience with them? I went in there when they first opened and wasnt super impressed with the guys working there. New store always has bugs to work out. One of the guys I work with likes them but has limited experience with them. I have heard a lot of good reviews on the Queen Creek store concerning Junior.

When I sent in my EL's I asked if it were possible to install new 10X lenses and upgrade them and they said that it was not possible to do that.

My EL's were 5 weeks done in July of 2015. I have read that if you pay a few bucks for for expedited shipping turnaround is two weeks. I have been playing with the switch barrel idea on and off myself for a few years now. So much cheaper than building an entire new rifle. Have not got around to doing it yet but I have been running barrels at a torque that is easy to remove when needed. A benchrest shooter with a switch barrel suggested hand tight plus 20 degrees rotation. I have been installing barrels to that specification and none have come loose. The Remington factory torque spec is completely insane. It can rather difficult to get apart. I remember reading about smiths who would soak the barreled action in diesel for 30 days to help loosen them up. That may have been before kroil.

What would you have to do to get the weight closer to 7#'s, if that's even possible?

I don't know anyone who fishes for Bass on purpose but that is a lot of stuff.

That's about the norm, G&F starts the season later in the spring so the hens can get bred. Turkeys around the country are getting fired up with some states getting ready to open the season.

SX3 with a turkey choke will be fine. Sights will help immensely especially in the 30-40 yard range. Use some heavy field loads to get an idea of the pattern and to adjust the scope then pick s turkey load and see where it patterns from there to get dialed in. I might have some Longbeards lying around you can have.
