    2018 Forerunner Roof Rack Recommendations

Thanks Hucker. Only problem is his truck is missing the factory rack.
  2. Birthday present for my son. He wants one he can attach his kayak to. He wants to start hunting ducks and figures toting the kayak along he could use that to retrieve them since his Blue Heeler isn't much of a water dog. He might need to buy it where they can install it.

    2018 Forerunner Roof Rack Recommendations

We went to Jalapeno Bucks for lunch today and talked about the links posted. He bought it a few months ago from a dealer and whoever owned it previously took off the factory rack before they traded it in. The dealer put silicon on the holes where the bolts were when he brought it back when he noticed water inside after the first rain. I'm leaning toward the PakRax. I took some pics of the roof and will go to Rack Attack and talk to them. They have some great reviews. Thanks to everyone who took time to respond. I'll keep you posted on what we decide to do. Go D'Backs.

    Election Year, Stock up now

So panic buy now, create a shortage and drive the prices up? Why not just sell some of the TP you hoarded and go for it?

  9. The internet has proliferated instant gratification. Fifty years ago it was the local newspaper, corner bar and Outdoor Life. When I was a kid it was ABC American Sportsman on TV which had about 12 channels. Bear, O'Conner, Keith, Hemingway, Capstick, Learner were my childhood heroes. I spent most of my youth in a small boat with a few friends exploring the Great South Bay of Long Island in the marshes, sometime all night at the age of 12. Parents didn't care and we often brough home enough fish and shellfish to feed out families for a few days but the bounty of those days is long gone.

Daily elk hunt update!! Sons 5bs bull

With that tag in his pocket I'm pretty sure that is not why he is back. You can only miss so many classes. Poon is everywhere,
  21. I would increase the crimp on them and load the bullet a few thousands deeper.

Drop the tire pressure. I know it's a PIA but it will make a big difference especially if you put couple a hundred pounds in the bed. I drove a 78 Sierra 2500 for 13 years. I only put about 2500 miles a year on it as it was my hunting rig. Biggest issue with smaller trucks is space to store stuff like a portable air compressor. Bilstens can take a beating but shocks like Monroe will give a smoother ride and absorb the smaller bumps transferring less to the springs. After I bought it (with 144K on the clock) I put a 4" lift in it and added three leafs to the rear. It rode a bit rough so I pulled the after market steel bumper off the rear and poured it with concrete and welded angle iron to keep it in place after it setup. That helped a lot.

Daily elk hunt update!! Sons 5bs bull

Sounds like the Rut is doing pretty good too bad you can stay at it. Problem with the Rut getting more intense is the chance of bulls getting broken and bugles drawing in competition from other hunters. Good Luck, hope he gets a big one.

Bilsteins are great. I put them on my F250 at about 80K and replaced them at 200K with FOX 2.0 and they were still plenty stiff and did not leak.
