That's what I would call a negative attitude! LOL

From what I have seen all the conventional dehydrators are 155dgF that have a fixed setting. The ones with adjustable dials are 84-155dgF.

Someone get out the Ban Hammer. LOL

I thought they would be bigger. Jim Tweeto is still flying out of there and is on the TV reality show Flying Wild Alaska.

My BIL who was a novice hunter raised cats and his Vet had a practice in Gilbert who was also a novice but had a brother living in Anchorage. His brother bugged him for years to come up and he finally decided to go, take his son and invited my BIL who invited two friends. Just before it was time to put in for the draw one of the guys wife had a problem with him going so I was asked if I wanted to go. That took about a NY second for me to say yes. My wife never said no ever to any of my hunting trips. Well about 5 months later we were in Unalakleet where the Vets brother knew a well known guide who let us stay in his cabin about 5 or more miles up the river and use his boats to fish. He just asked we refil them with gas when we were done. We spent a few days catching Silvers from the main river and a couple of tributaries for Grayling and Dolly Varden. After that we went back to town to fly north for Caribou but the wind kept the pilot grounded and we headed out late the next day. Jim Tweeto flew everybody up a small plane while I stayed back in town. A few hours later he came back and the two of us flew up in the old cargo plane with quads and all the gear. We landed with just enough light to see on an old abandon military gravel runway. We spend the next couple of days hunting and we all tagged out. It was a hunt of a lifetime and my total costs from the time I left Mesa until I returned was $1,600. I watched one guy shoot a nice bear and then helped skin it out. I had just dressed and quartered a caribou for one of the other hunters and hung it in an old shed on the base and walked over to the runway to talk to the young hunter when we looked over to see a Musk Ox walk passed us at 20 yards without a care in the world.

Where did you go? I hunted east of Nome in the 90's but I have heard it is tougher now and herds have declined.

This is why I get a tracking number if I ship it to my house and stay home until it shows up, or have it delivered to my office. You need to watch out for your ownself when it comes to things of value. Simple thing like stating " Adult Signature Required" on shipping is one of many options in lieu of doorstep delivery. Be responsible on shipping important things instead of expecting the shipper to absorb the cost as though it was their problem.

I am looking at the B&C Alaskan Ti at about 28-30 oz or the AG Composites CAT 700 at 26 oz. Anyone have any experience with either of these? TIA, Happy Memorial Day.

Help me decide on a new lightweight stock for my 700

My first car was a 63 Buick Special 9 passenger station wagon my dad gave me when I was in HS after he got a 65 Catalina convertible. I should start my own optics company since nobody makes what I think is a good hunting optic as they are all way too heavy. Anything over 16-18oz is impractible. -
I am "That Guy" that cruises over the posted speed limit. I just drive what I think is reasonable for the time and place. I tend to camp away from people, when possible. Camping close to a road where that can be a issue just comes with the territory. Be it right or wrong. Glad to see everyone had a safe weekend.

There was a website selling them for about 50 cents on a dollar but you needed to buy bulk. This was a good five years ago or more. Might have been IQ Metals. -

There is also a sale going on right now for 15% off http://mannersstocks.com/flat-top-store/mcs-eh3-2936.html I built one and added it to the cart but it didn't apply the %15 discount, where did you see that? -

That sucks. Where were you planning on going. Mostly everything is closed. We were going to go to Willow Springs. He likes it there and I was going to fish off the shore while he Kayaked. I might also get one this summer. On the way back we were coming up that last long hill about 7:00 and near the top there was a DPS vehicle blocking off the left lane with about 15 cones. Two women and a guy were standing next to a car on it's roof in the medium. It hit the guardrail and they looked ok but the younger woman was crying. That is a sharp S Turn on a downhill and they must have lost control coming out of the last turn and hit the guardrail and flipped it as the medium has a bit of a drop off. Lost of people take that turn close to 80mph. They are lucky to be alive, very lucky. It probably happened just a short time before we came up on them. A couple of miles after we past the turnoff for Four Peaks I saw an Ambulance and then a Fire Truck on there way, lights off. Median...He was sick give him a brake. LOL

Expect a lot of traffic coming back. Good luck. I like Power eggs. They stay on the hook and work well. WCL is my favorite lake.

I want a lightweight stock for my ancient stainless 700, aka The Anvil, so it may finally be time to get an Alaskan Ti. 10% isn't much, more like getting free shipping.
