Vertical deer dimensions for gap shooting?
PRDATR replied to Bucks&Brews's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I think Bass Pro has a full mount Coues, I may go over and measure it. The one time I did have a tape in my pack I measured the Coues I shot, that's where I came up with the 36". -
Post a few pictures.

So, cap and ball? Are you using FFFF? -
What are you having trouble with, the crimping?

I'm surprised you don't reload.

You can also go straight to G&F and not pay the fees. Sportsmans Warehouse only charges $2.

Welcome to CWT. Buy and read this, the Coues Deer Bible. Then get in touch with Tony and book a day of glassing with him. It will save you years trial and error knowledge. Chris https://www.amazon.com/Hunt-Coues-Deer-Duwane-Adams/dp/B000MLYYAE -

Vertical deer dimensions for gap shooting?
PRDATR replied to Bucks&Brews's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Coues are 36" to the top of the back. If you shoot a traditional bow long enough you will know what the flight path of the arrow is and be able to comfortably compensate for it and not look at the arrow in flight. Deer don't intentionally duck the arrow. Most only get shot at once in their short lives it is a natural reaction to the sound as they crouch to get more spring to launch themselves away from what they perceive as a possible threat. -
I just bought a Manfretto 290 Carbon and a Pro Master SPCH 20 Fluid head but it was a bit over your budget. The 290 kit with a fluid panhead can be had for under $200
