Do you have a holster for it?

Over the last few years they have never been out in a timely manner.

Well, I don't remember which radio station it was/is, but he used to do a commentary in the afternoons.

Great for close combat, if you can carry enough arrows.

I love the accuracy of the 168HPBT VLD in my 7Mag. I shot a Coues in the neck at 225 and it left a 3 1/2 hole which I thought was a bit extreme. -
That Shimano is really nice and if I went more often I would definitley get one. I have a Penn GTI 340 on a Roddy Hunter I will use but I will look to rent a bigger setup to also have when I go. Biggest problem is you never know what will bite it and I could get spooled.

Lost my MAP60 so I am looking for a new GPS. It was "ok" but the screen was tiny and navigating it was a PIA. I have OnX but unless you have internet access you can't access your saved maps so you need to keep the saved map active while you still have internet access, if you close that screen you are done, at least that has been my experience.

All we ever used. You won't find a cheaper Vet, his son took over after he retired. -

Call and talk to Arlette, just don't call it a "Spaniel". In the US that was dropped back in the 80's. They are just called a Brittany over here. http://www.kninebirddog.com/contact.html -
What width are they and what years do they fit? DO you have the lug nuts?

I did some research and found that the norther group migrate from Japan and back and the total catch for this group seems to be about 10X the size in numbers than the southern group but I didn't find much other info on it. After doing some more digging I came upon this. https://www.fishermensnews.com/story/2013/12/01/features/california-where-have-all-the-albacore-gone/227.html

I always wondered about Restaurant Depot. I find that Food City has good prices on pork. I shop there every week.

Maybe we will have a better El Nino this year, it's weak so far but there.

Well, every once in a decade a firearm come along and is an instant classic. Nylon 66 is a good example. I bought an XP in about 88 or so in 7BR to shoot Silhouette, shot clover leafs at 100 yards when it wasn't shooting one holes. With iron sights, about as good as my TC in 223. But that had a 1.5X scope so there was an advantage. All handloads BTW. Probably paid about $300 for the XP but I had an FFL at the time.

Thanks for that input, you too BLJ. This trip was what best fit into our schedule. We are both tired of going out and just catching a few small fish but each trip is different and I know there are no guarantees. I'm pretty thick skinned but working construction for 40 years as a journeyman, a PM and a GC I have come across all types. My biggest hurdle will be to bring stout enough tackle and learn how to fish the big ones but this ain't my first rodeo and have been fishing salt water since I was 3 in the mid 50's. I'll probably rent some heavy tackle for those 50-150 pounders although I don't know what I'll do if we catch over 100#'s of fish, as unlikely as it may be. If I get one over 40 I'll be a happy camper.

Wife and I did it with some of my coworkers who have done it multiple times. We arrived late afternoon and spent the night in the parking lot. Got up early and hiked in and packed light. It was a long time ago, probably 1996 or so. IIRC we spent one or two nights down there and hiked out starting about 4:30 PM and slept on the trail just about out of the canyon. It was a year or two after a big flood so the pools weren't so picturesque. We got up at first light and hiked to the top and were there by about 6:30. This was over 4th of July. One cool thing Lou and I did was hike into a cave that was by the campground. He said he never knew it was there and had camped there a bunch of times. I took a small pup tent and during the night something wet landed on my face, turned out to be a tree frog. No idea how it got into the tent.

It's a great hike, highly recommend it.

Great story, glad it worked out for you.

Sight In Question - Help Needed
PRDATR replied to broadhead's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Get a stock that fits you. Take the rifle and grasp it, close your eyes and shoulder it. Get comfortable then open your eye and see what the sight picture is. -
Is that the factory pad? How old is it? Looks great
-
What year is it?
-
Is the blueing all worn on the part below the barrel? What is the serial number range since it's a dash?

I saw three or so officers standing up on the hill at eh side of the road looking over there but didn't know what they were looking at. Thought maybe a manhunt was getting underway. Looks like a Liberty Mutual commercial.
