Vertical deer dimensions for gap shooting?
PRDATR replied to Bucks&Brews's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Coues are 36" to the top of the back. If you shoot a traditional bow long enough you will know what the flight path of the arrow is and be able to comfortably compensate for it and not look at the arrow in flight. Deer don't intentionally duck the arrow. Most only get shot at once in their short lives it is a natural reaction to the sound as they crouch to get more spring to launch themselves away from what they perceive as a possible threat. -
I just bought a Manfretto 290 Carbon and a Pro Master SPCH 20 Fluid head but it was a bit over your budget. The 290 kit with a fluid panhead can be had for under $200

I saw on FB that it is open until 1-19-19. And then they draw on the 21st.

Glad it wasn't serious. Just so happens I ordered a new heater for my tank as the one I have which is probably close to 20 years old stays on all the time. Definately get a quality one like this. Just shop around for the best price for the size you need. Stay away from anything that is made by Aqueon. I've had fish tanks since 1964. https://www.marinedepot.com/Eheim_Jager_TruTemp_50_Watt_Fully_Submersible_UL_Approved_Heater_Glass_Tube_Aquarium_Heaters-Jager-EJ1111-FIHTGH-EJ1111-vi.html?utm_source=mdcsegooglebase2&utm_medium=cse&utm_campaign=mdcsegooglebase2&utm_content=EJ1111&gclid=Cj0KCQiA37HhBRC8ARIsAPWoO0x2pSUdhU8848gMPUbLp-8FwakN3vP9TvELnR1dtz05b_jvm9835RIaAvQ0EALw_wcB

It was 26dgF here at my work in Tempe this morning. Work vehicles all had ice on the windshields. Very typical this time of year. It was 55dgF in the office though as someone went around and turned off the AC units. The girls will be extra cranky this morning when they come in.

I wouldn't intentionally gut shoot one but then I don't view them as having feelings or a soul anymore than a fly or a bug about to be stepped on. Pretty much feel that way about anything I am going to catch on a fishing line or shoot to eat. Stopped keeping track of how many coyotes I have shot over the last 30+ years. Probably well over 1000, never lost any sleep over it. All called in with a hand call. First rule is never give an animal a human quality. Dolphins don't build skyscrapers, dogs don't write novels.

Wear Smart Wool Socks. Do you have another cold weather hunt coming up? You are probably better off getting insulated boots.

I was on the Red Mountain 202 at about 10:30 AM and the Fway sign said "Chains or 4WD required 40 miles ahead" That's basically the turn off to Saguaro Lake.

I was at the shooting range this morning and noticed a dusting on that mountain with the flat top.

But why tax .1% of vehicles when you can tax 100%? I heard when this was proposed the fee would be ~ $16.

37dgF here in Mesa at 6AM. I see parts of Tucson are getting some white stuff.
