If you can get out and hunt for the first few hours when there is still some dew on the ground before it dries out it will be quieter. Some boots have harder soles than others and will be more noisy. Be aware of the wind direction. I like to use a cover scent like Hunter Specialities Wafers in Fresh Earth. Since you are new to hunting the desert take a pocket sized mens comb afield. It will be the easiest way to remove any cholla cactus pods that you get on you. Put the comb between the pod and you then pop it off. I also carry a metal tweezer in a small first aid kit to pull out the really fine stickers that surround the bigger spines on Prickly Pear Cactus, AKA Beaver Tail. DO you have a 4WD vehicle?

Great that you were able to find it. This past year my son and I went to Ben Avery when they had a big show and there were some full autos with supressors we were able to shoot. My son had fired a few rounds through one when the supressor blew off and went about 30 feet down range.

A Coyote isn't going to stand and fight after you fire a shell in it's direction. You would be more apt to hit a coyote if you have a couple of #4 Buck shells than a pistol.

So what makes you think it's worth $750? It looks stock. Is the action trued and blueprinted? Trigger job etc?
