A friends daughter had a cow tag and they hunted three days and never saw one. All I know is they were up near Heber. I squirrel hunted 5A on Sunday with my son and saw two cows and a spike and that was it. They were about 150 yards away on a hill when we got out of the truck. The spike ran off but the cows hung around for a few minutes and weren't very concerned.

He told me they are only seeing doe's and small bucks. Very few deer.

It's not a guarantee. We drew with 4 in 5A on the early hunt. I am going up tomorrow to scout and squirrel hunt.

Had a few drops at 19th and Peoria around sunrise this morning. Glad to see some places are getting rain. This year was a dry one for sure.

My buddy and I hunted the heck out of the southern part of 29 in the 80's and early 90's. Lots of virgin territory back then. Never saw any turkeys, just a bunch of thick billed parrots G&F introduced.
