I've lived and hunted here since 77 and this is the first time there was a snafu. I agree it is bogus they didn't at least return a portion of the tag cost.

I think they should keep it the same but make the new license buyers throw anything over 10" back the first year.

I heard they sent out questioners last year if people would prefer bigger stocked fish in the 12-14" range and a lower creel limit. I heard they had around a 100% increase in sales of licenses too as a result of people being off due to Covid. I only fish the Rim Lakes where stockers are usually 7-12" max.

Consider this. Oxygen % at Sea Level is 20.1%. At 2000' above Sea Level it is 19.4% and at 10,000' it is 14.3%. Best to try to acclimate yourself once you are up there that high for a day or so before exerting yourself and then have a plan for evacuation if you feel hypoxia coming on.
