Is it City Water or on a well? If on City that info should be available along with the hardness on their website. City Water at my place in Mesa is 580PPM, Dasani bottled water is 26. Some bottled water I have tested was almost single digits. On Edit: It seems that SV water is 160ppm. Lowest in the State.

After I skin them I lay it flat and put toothpicks about an inch or two apart on the skin then roll it up. I mix straight glycerin with a a little 90% rubbing alcohol maybe 90% glycerin to a little bit of alcohol and put it in a small jar for a week making sure the whole skin is submerged. Then I take it out and wipe it off and lay it out on an old towel and then roll it up in the towel up for another week. Last one I did was about three years ago and it is still soft and pliable. I'm sure there are other "recipes" and methods too.

Once the sun goes down the snakes and spiders come out. If the temperature is 65 or so you can pick up the bigger snakes by the tail, 4 footers, as they get lethargic.

If you make it up to Mesa I'll trade you round for round on FMJ's. I have too much nine.

If you're not going to reload and just looking for plinking ammo you can't beat Wolf or Tula. 37 cents a round VS 65 cents a round for brass case upper end stuff.

Most of the fall hunters I have seen and talked to drive the roads looking for them so if you get away from the roads and hunt on foot in the places you have seen them in the Spring you should be OK. Site water mid day and an a couple of hours before sunset.

Well we are in a recession and have been for a few months. The Feds will officially announce it the end of next month. Home values are already dropping partially due to the latest .75 rate increase. A year from now the unemployment rate will be up 2 points as the economy collapses after the boom money. Privatizing Big Oil would be a start to getting the base of the economy back on track. We need to get back to $2 a gallon Diesel/Gasoline. Sacrafice one industry to save the rest. It will take a long time to climb out of this one once the curtain falls. Boarman gets it.

This brings to mind when Jack In The Box came out with a new burger some five years or so ago. I think it was made from Ribeye. It was worse than their usual burgers. Probably a combination of Panko and Alpo. Funny how our tastebuds get conditioned. If you want good ground beef go to Von Hansens. Whatever you get in the local Supermarket was probably ground days ago. As a kid in the suburbs of NYC we would get it ground while we waited at the local butcher. Pick out a cut of beef like Round Steak and they ground it right there. Take it home and put it on a fresh hardroll from the bakery shop with a little salt.pepper and onion. No need to cook it. Just about every other shopping center had a Mom&Pop butcher shop and a bakery. Maternal grandparents were born in the 1880's from German immigrants. Paternal grandfather was also German, I believe fresh off the boat and my grandmother was French and Irish. I have her family Bible from the 1850's/ Leather bound, gold embossed on the pages edges. Weighs probably 5 pounds and is four inches thick and is the size of a laptop.
