For sale is an early 90's Taurus .357 magnum in great shape. I believe it's the model 66. My dad has rarely shot it over the years (it maybe has a couple hundred rounds through it). I don't see any visible marks/scratches and the bluing and wood looks great. It comes with the Taurus soft case, 36 rounds of 110 grain jacketed hollow points, and about 50 or so rounds of various .38 wad cutters. Barely used New England firearms / H&R pardner 12 gauge single shot - comes w slip on recoil pad - has a small amount of light rust on the barrel and a few nicks on the stock but overall in good condition - $125 OBO Hogue over-molded pillar bedded OD green rifle stock for Howa 1500, Weatherby Vanguard - short action only - has a few scratches on the rubber from hunting but still looks pretty good - $50 OBO Old Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 scope - has nikoplex reticle - glass is clear and tracks fine - a few scratches on the body and faint scope ring marks but still works good - $70 OBO

It really happened. I was there.

Update - took it out and tried some new loads this weekend. With Fed mag primers, 67.5 grains of Magpro, and 140 grain Accubonds, it was pushing 3100 fps resulting in 1/2" groups at 100 yards. Good enough for the girls I go with. Thanks to Todd's tutelage (aka Southern Xpress), we started testing its distance and had it repeatedly plinking a basketball sized rock at 650 yards. Next up - doing the same at 1000. Very happy with the setup.

Updated the 270 WSM and ready for a big October Coues! Here's the setup: -Howa model 1500 -Timney trigger at 2# -Muzzle brake -Boyds Tacticool stock with Limbsaver pad (epoxy bedded and I added the paint job) -Vortex HS 4x16x44 Can't wait to let her loose next weekend!

Cooked up the last batch of back straps from last years buck a few weeks ago...these ones were seared on very high heat and basted with butter and the sauce was a pan reduction finished with fresh blueberries. Outstanding for sure.

All - excited to get down south and do some Coues hunting in October. I have several planned scouting ventures with buds somewhat familiar with the unit in the coming weeks but unfortunately, this is a unit I have not been in for years. That said, we are setting up shop around Patagonia lake and will be scouting the hills east of the highway there. As well, I have some friends who have hunted the hills south of Sonoita so we will scout there as well. I am sure there are deer everywhere like everywhere down south. That said, any other input would be great...and...here is my offer...I am really to trade some insider secrets regarding unit 23 (hunted it for years - Dad lives in Young) as well as 36B (hunted it the last few years and have some good areas to try out). If interested in trading some good spots, hit me up!
