My son connected with this cool forky today. He was sure pumped and I couldn't be more proud. His 2nd year in a row dropping one...he's making me look really bad.

Well guys - that was the toughest year I've had hunting 35B. We worked the same great country we always have (up high - walking the canelos glassing the fingers) every day. We ended up with Ryan's solo buck. Had a chance to get another small 3 point but some other hunters spooked them right before we could get the shot off). I saw none of the big bucks we had seen. It was hot - there was a ton of BP pressure - and there were a ton of road hunters doing there thing. In the end; it was still a magnificent time with my pops, my lad, my bro, and my friends. Until next year. Now time to dust the bow off...

Well opening morning we got 1 down - this is Ryan's first buck ever. Got him at 286 yards - one shot and straight down.

Excited to hit the road today with my old man, son, bros, and friends. Hopefully we can find this guy and his bigger friends that we know are there...Be safe all...and aim straight! Jon

Here is my 270 wsm. Installed the Timney trigger, brake, and a bedded Boyd's tactical stock. Shoots like a champ...my favorite big game rifle I have and shoot.
