Ok we braved the cold weather and the snow and my boys were able to take two cows. Cody, (aka the coues), took his on opening day with one shot. Tanner got his elk, which we nicknamed the horseshoe cow, on the evening of the second day. All with the help of Verndog.

I have a Remington Police heavy barrel 308, with an HS Precision stock, trigger, and action. This rifle has a Leupold V4 4.5X14X50 scope. This gun has had very few rounds through it, maybe 50 and was purchased when I was on the sniper team. I no longer use it and have about $2000.00 dollars invested. I would like to get at least $1500.00 for it or would consider trades for other guns, or guns and cash. If anyone is interested I can upload pictures, just didn't know if anyone was into this type of rifle. Thanks!

I was told that it was cut down as to prevent less barrel whip I need to check the actual specs to see. I have had it for I think about six years and I shot factory ammo at a hundred yards three shots in the ear canal. Never shot it any farther as that was are qualification. I will upload some pics and I forgot it has a bipod also the gun is in excellent condition. I just don't use it and it sits in my safe. Don't know if I wanna do anymore sniper stuff!

We went out on opening morning with two boys eager to hunt. One new to hunting and the other had harvested a pig two years prior. Verndog located several pigs early in the morning and after a stalk two clean misses. So we glassed and glassed, at about 4:30, I glassed up some piggies a canyon over. We got to about 240 yards,as close as we could, and the shots rang out. Tanner hit one good, and Cody missed. So across the canyon we go, while we were taking pictures we heard rocks rolling. Up the hill Verndog and Cody go one shot later its complete. Two pigs down and a long hike after dark back to the Rangers. A great hunt with the much needed assistance of Verndog.

He doesnt have to complete the course before the draw just before the hunt. I am doing a class in Payson around the 20th of February. We are in the process of setting it up now. He can do the online course and then do the field day but I dont believe people benefit from the course online. Feel free to call me for further info. Thanks!
