I had the same problem a couple years ago with my 700 it had the lockable j lock bolt I changed the firing pin to a PTG firing pin assembly real easy to do haven't had any ore issues. Hopefully that helps Dan

the black stock came off a 300ultra mag when I put on a Grey Bull precision and Boyds I acquired with a 700 bdl 7mm stw it doesn't look like it has ever been used

Ended up using 87 grains of Rl25 and and 70 thousands off the lands started at 20 thousands and was showing some good pressure signs. Ran it through the chrono and was averaging 3120 and getting .5 to .75 inch groups just ordered a kneton turrett Dan
