Yea, like the post about big trucks =,.....maybe I started tis sucker out on a wrong note. My buddy on that hunt that year found a couple brutes one with just massive palmation. And these were all I found. I remember the last day I glassed a nice shed down in this canyon. It's probably chalk board material now. Thanks, Dan

Dan H replied to coueshunter's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Why a spotting scope. Because it was 40.00!!! I was fortunate enough to win the bighorn sheep raffle couple years ago and scored!!! Don't throw that mail away it's only forty dollars. 2-3 times a year. Dan -

Back from the honeymoon trip to South Africa!
Dan H replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Man that looks like the trip of a lifetime. Are you mounting all those kills? Can I ask on an average how much is spent enjoying Africa that much? That looks like it could become a fever for sure. Thanks, for sharing the photos. Dan H. -
Have an old PSE Thunderflite bow for sale. $75.00 Was planning on taking to a moving to Tonto Basin sale in Tucson this weekend, but figured a CWT member may be interested. It has contributed to my 3 elk, 1 mulie, and about 13 pigs. It's the heavy old cadillac, compared to bows these days but still has all the accesories attached, TM hunter rest for alum shafts, stabilizer, pin sights, PSE quiver, etc. Only thing worn is 1 cable the rubber is splitting near cam, it may need replaced. It's worth the $75.00 I am still a loser at posting pictures I could e-mail a photo to anyone interested tonight when I get home. Dan

Been out glassing 22 and 23 a lot over the past month and I am not seeing shoot for fawns MD or WT. Anyone else having the same impression. The deer all look really healthy but very few fawns. Dan

I got pictures of 2 big horn sheep ewes in there in Jan. Found 2 nice WT Lion kills and 1 MD kill w/in a 1/4 mile apart from the sheep. Time for a new AZGFD study on droughts.

Thanks, I thought they took that $6.00 up front. So if you draw you have to go buy a license at a dealer in NM, then they mail you the tag? Dan
-
For deer they take $6.00 now? Any one had any deer tags hit yet? Dan

It's prolly your wife. Cause you spend to much time in the hills. See now that is dang good sarcasm. LOL Dan

If and when I can afford it, my first lion hunt with dogs will be with Josh's help. To date I have only seen 2 Lions in 25 years of hiking Arizona. 1st one I peppered with # 7? shot at 40 yards near canyon lake. 2nd I tried to run over in my Ford crossing the beeline near mequite wash. (No gun that day). Josh is not only an outstanding lion hunter but he is the "Shed God" from all his posts I've seen. Josh, ask your dad if I paid for all the dogs food on a monthly basis, how long would it take until I would have a guided hunt paid for. Thanks for always sharing your experiences. Dan

This post is in response to a "special thank you" to Arizona Guide for the outstanding services he offered me on a recent bathroom renovation on a condo I own in Phx that my mother lives in. I originally confronted Jade in Dec 05, and after a few attempts obtaining quotes from other sources I felt I was being taken to the cleaners by thousands. So in Feb I called Jade and he took time away from his family on a Sunday to take a free look at my bathroom. He provided extremely honest straight up facts on what could be done at a very nice cost. I would recommend his services to anyone. Jade thank you for the outstanding work on the tub and shower it all came out great. From my family to yours-- Thank you very much, Dan and Angela Hoffman

23 Junior pigs,....Cross Tonto creek and park at the cable car. The mtn or small mesa across to the southeast has a herd of 12 or more. They are bedding on the west side in those green pointed trees that are similar to the palo verde's. South side all the way around to the road that runs to the rock quarry ranchers house is all prickly pear. Thats what they been chowin all Jan. Water there all year too. They have also been down in the flat between a small knoll and the large mesa bedding and feeding too. That small hill to the north (along fence line) is a perfect vantage point. Have fun. Dan

If he ran uphill thoe whole time he probably was not hit that hard. What color was the blood. Did it look like a lung or main artery puddles? He is probably laying there within 100 feet of that last spot. In all the excitement and trudging you probably just overlooked the smallest sign. I'd be heading to that spot first thing tomorrow. Dan
