I have had a the Bogen pistol grip for years, and I like it. It adjusts to my pack rather easy, very steady, binos don't wiggle etc. I usually keep my bino straps around my neck for extra security if it falls over while glassing with 15s, and I can pull my spotting scope out of the pack and mount it on the head pretty quickly to reach out and see something. 1 detail wore out a few yaers ago and I sent it to them and they fixed and put in a new ball assembly free of charge. I bought the wife a Nikon tripod from Manfrotto No. 848 at SWarehouse it does not have the trigger yet, just the standard handle style, and I have had no problem using it but I really don't like the red clip open /close design on for raising the main post , it snaps to loud when locking it. Bill, I recommend the sportsman 500 w/independent suspension. You want something that is not gonna beat you up with stiff suspension on long hauls being up there in age and all. (No offense). I have a 500HO with over 4000 miles on it licensed for highway and it is my 3rd jeep only difference is it has handle bars instead of a steering wheel.\ The cargo(load) setups are endless. Bags boxs lights, racks fuel/water pack etc. Don't buy in the valley(sales tax), if your buying new. Go to 4 seasons in Rye they have the best deals ounless your buying used. Rubbermaid makes an awesome trailer with quad tires that I have packed tons of gear in on over 100 mile rides with no major damage. Dan

I agree that is a keeper. I would have bid on that too. I have heard people saving bucks and actually transferring a new rack to the mount. Is that what they do. Any skull plate can go on a mount as long as you have enough hide? Full mount what is the cost for one of them? Like to see a picture of that when it is done. Dan

My neighbor has a quad for sale. Asking 5900.00 OBO This is a 2004 Polaris 500 Sportsman H.O. Camo Edition. It has very low miles and hours. It has only been used 3 or 4 times in the desert. Didn't even see any sign. 23 was tough the pears seem to all be at the bottom and only in certain areas. Hope its still open on the 26th won't get back up there until then. Dan
