It's an odd post unless you need it. This could have also gone into the RV topics. I have a Sandpiper Toyhauler that right after the warranty expired, a gear in the gear box broke a couple of teeth off . The original one was made of nylon. The new one is made of Dupont Delrin. The maker does not make the gears individualy so I had to get them machined. The company wanted $500 for a whole new motor and gear box. <img src="http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" /> . If you know anyone who cannot get there beds up/down. This may be the reason. PM me if you need more information. $150 for the gear. It is the "EZ BEDLIFT SYSTEM" from Lippert Components. I have shot the Scott mongoose for the last 10 yrs. Love it. Now my son bought a Scott Silverhorn with the strap. With this release you can only shoot a D-loop. I am now going to buy one of these. Probably the Rhino with the strap. Take a good look at these if you shoot a D-loop.

Your topic is awesome. Kids today will not take any resposability for anything but blame everyone. It was not that the older generation did not care, They did not know. Today, this new generation is too extreme and have no common sense about anything. Thy are just puppets. Again, great post. You forgot to mention all the battery operated toys. How almost everything you bought was American made.

This is an informative only topic. No opinions please.I guess it would be best to leave this to the new trucks like 08 and newer. 1)I would like to know what diesel truck you have, year, model (ext-crew-mega or reg cab). 2)4 wheel preferably and what is it you tow and it's weight? 3)I would like to know what your gas mileage towing and not and if you have had any major issues with the truck. 4)I would also like to know what speed you can safely tow up Sunset Point and your gas mileage up it if you know. So here is why. I have an 03 HD Chevy with the 6ltr gas. I pull a 28' toyhauler that weights 6k dry and around 9 to 10k loaded. Non-towing I get 14 mpg. Towing I get 6 mpg. I can crawl up Sunset Point and parts up to Payson at 35 mph and drop to 3 mpg. The fastest I can go with the trailer is 60mph. Let me just say I am sick of the gas and speed. We went to Kaibab last year and it took 7 hours. Having to stop at every gas station is getting old too. Thanks

CMC thanks first of all. Did you happen to look into the Banks system before buing the edge? From what i have read in the mags. Banks is the only program that does not raise your EGT's as much as the Edge?

This would be good. We have not gone to any Bowhunter happening since it left Williams. It was an awesome shoot. What is there plans for Memorial Day weekend? Glen has had his shoot for many years in Clints Well and that is an awesome shoot also. Since the Happening moved weekends it has hurt them both and I never wanted to pull the trailer to Sunrise.

I would stay away from mineral oil. All oils collect dust. Graphite is completely odorless and it does not collect dust and works fantastic.

I heard you hit it with your truck then stuck an arrow in it.

Is the Chihuahua ready? I'm sorry.

Written by my wife Stacey. My husband decided to put me in for the 12A early rifle hunt this year. The thought was that if I was drawn and didn’t want to hunt, I could sign the tag over to our son. When we found that I was the only one drawn for this hunt, I offered the tag to my middle boy, Hunter. He of course just wanted to go on the hunt with me, wanted to be with me when I shot my first deer. At this point, I still wasn’t sure if I could actually pull the trigger. I started praying that God change the desire of my heart to go on this hunt. I don’t have much experience with rifles, so my husband had some work to do to get me comfortable shooting our boy’s .270. By the time we were ready for the hunt, I was fairly confident (shooting paper that is). My husband, middle son, good friend and I took the scenic drive up to Kaibab the day before opening. We got up before light opening day and bundled up for a cold and rainy hunt. Drove the quads a mile or so from camp, saw lots of does, one buck and covered a lot of ground. Got up early again Saturday morning with the same cloud cover and 41 degree temps. Set out for another day of hiking and about 7:30 a.m., came across a couple deer on a trail feeding, with their butts to us. Because of the fog (see photo), we could see there were two, but couldn’t see any antlers. We began to sneak closer to get a better look. One of them picked up his head and we could see it was a buck. Still not sure of the size, we continued to sneak to within 60 yards as it was still difficult to see them due to the fog cover. Seeing that it was a small buck, my husband asked me “are you sure you want to shoot this one? I know I can find a bigger one”. With teeth chattering from the cold I said, “I just want to get it over with.” (What a patient man he is for letting that be my decision!) The buck stepped out and was quartering away to the left. Travis told me to aim for his right front leg and I took the shot. The deer bucked and took off towards the canyon. We waited a few minutes and began to look for blood, not finding a drop. The buck left marks where he bucked, but nothing else. We began to search towards the canyon, still no blood (of course I thought I missed him altogether). My husband was sure I hit him by the way he bucked. Five minutes later my husband found him, not 80 yards from where he was shot. My boys have been praying for successful hunts for months and the prayer of righteous man does avail much! Although we surely could have come home with a bigger deer, I am thankful for success and great memories of the people that were with me for my first deer. As far as my concern over pulling the trigger…when I got up opening morning, my husband was already up reading the Good book. When I sat down, I flipped to Proverbs 31 and was taken to verse 15 “She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.” Works for me.

Best Offroad/ Hyway tires for Coues Country
TEAM JESUS replied to Santana Outdoors's topic in Other Hunting Gear
OK- I am also in the neighborhood for a new set of tire. I have a 2500 that I will be replacing my BFG A/T. They are an OK tire but only to get 40k out of is not worth the money. Hancook is one I was going to try and even save $100 each tire and better by 10k miles. I was not thrilled by my BFG's especially for the price altough the weight of the 2500 is greater than most especially with the trailer connected. What are some using with the bigger trucks still stock size? -
Kudos to your dad. I did not allow my oldest to use his 6A bull tag because of his grades and I'd do the same for my middle. Good Job dad and I'll bet he is hurting worse.

A freind of mine has a hunt in November and his father also has the same tag. Is there anyone who could use the extra income and rent their side by side for the week? I also have this hunt with them. Pm me if you are interested.
