There are things that happen in javelina hunts that just don't happen hunting other animals, which is why they are so fun yet confounding at the same time.

Better then me, I got to only hunt 1 day, got a shot off but pretty sure I missed. They don't seem to bleed much, maybe that bristly hair soaks it up. I laugh at the Hogan Alleys reference, as that is exactly what it becomes with us during the HAM hunts, lol! We try like helll to sneak in, but once they are busted, its a shooting gallery despite our best efforts to be disciplined. We usually just walks flats, checking the washes and at some point turn up a herd. Looks like your are using the same pistol as me. I love the open sights revolvers!!

Human eye is supposed to pick up greens better then red. It is why I originally purchased it over red but my eyes said to heck with either, lol

Stoeger M3000 Freedom semi auto 12 gauge. Shoots high brass( 2 3/4 Buck etc) loads good , not so much the cheap bulk Walmart birdshot rounds. Not quite enough power for the action. I believe there is a recoil spring that takes care of that if you want to shoot those. Like new -SOLD-

I noticed with Bobcats that I've killed that they came in soon after I started calling( rabbit distress I believe), but there movement was very slow and calculated after that unlike a coyote running straight in. Both came in fast, I just saw a tan or brown flash between brush but couldn't tell what it was, only to not move again. Then 10-15 minutes later a cat appeared out of nowhere just sitting there like he was placed there.

Lots of sound suggestions. I am trying something new this year and went to a fixed Primary Arms x5 prism scope. See how that goes. Once you get out there and do it yourself, you'll find what you like and may change your mind even from what you started with. I used to think high power magnification when I started but soon found I didn't like it at all. Even in open country I still find them coming in close most of the time. Coyotes have a severe case of ADHD and paranoia, thus they don't stay put for long. So I like quick handling rifles. Good Luck!

I always thought learning and understanding things you didn’t know before was part of the fun. It’s why I won’t use an outfitter. Not against them but I’d rather do it myself, trophy, no trophy, tag soup. I appreciate things more that way. That’s just me though

This ban is a bigger concern on the side of our 2nd amendment more then it is doing business with Russia. I agree Putin is no good. I hope that American or at least other non commie countries can fill the void. But that will likely be years down the road, if at all. But this wasn’t a punishment on Russia as much as it is a back handed way of trying to starve out ammo and make it harder on people like us. Ask yourself this question, of all the things we still do business with Russia on, oh and even worse, China, why did ammo and firearms get the ban?? It’s about control, control of us, nothing more.

That’s exactly what he’s doing. It has nothing to do with poisoning someone like they claim. They’d ban all Chinese products if that was the case for giving the world COVID. But Democrats have literally become nothing more then imbedded Chinese communists. This is going to drive ALL ammo back up for a very long time, possibly permanently if something legally doesn’t stop this ban.

Hmm it’s either changed Or that info is wrong. Spent 4 years in Virginia and was never a Virginia resident and was still an AZ resident the whole time. State taxes were still paid to AZ as well edit: just looked it up and as I stated before was correct as far as residency is concerned. Were you are stationed is not your residency unless you want it to be and change it to be.

You don't automatically become a resident of were you are stationed. This info isn't necessarily true. Duty stations can change overnight and constantly. Most likely were he is licensed is considered home for such purposes especially if the rifle is going to be kept there.

What do you prefer? Why?? I’d like to try the pistol grip from Outdoorsman. Seems like a pretty handy setup. Curious what you all have tried and like. Not looking at a brand specific but type or style.
