More of a stink is made when our military interrogates terrorists than is made with what this poor kid went through. Our society and its apathetic views really makes me ashamed.
-
Very true! Sad as well, as you can tell where our society is headed these days .

California SB1221
BeardownAZ replied to bonuspointjohn's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Its California. Same state that produces such things as Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, micro stamping of firing pins and ammo, "bullet button" gun bans, I could go on and on. I feel for those who live there that arent superliberal. My wife gets mad cause I wont go there more often for vacations but I have a hard time supporting a state that doesnt allow its people to live freely. -
Interesting info. I guess i may be limited to my areas but i could use this as a good excuse just to go up for a weekend and cruise around in the truck checking out the areas before July.

Anybody been down into the camp areas around there lately or since the Wallow fire? If so how did it look? I am mostly talking about the immediate campground areas. Taking the family camping up around the Alpine area in late July and thought of dropping down into there instead of the Big Lake crowd this year. Pictures would be great too if you have them. Also would a 25ft travel trailer be ok in the campsites? Havent been to the campgrounds in years. Thanks

Pine Donkey, Thanks for the link! It is encouraging to see those pictures. I'll keep asking around and see if anybody has noticed the campsites and immediate areas.

They dont think. Or for the most part dont care, rules apply to everyone else but them. The penalties need to be more harsh for blatant desregard of our public lands.

The reduction in November hunts for 27 would seem to be the way to go. Its unbeliavable how bad its gotten up there and how many people you see everywhere.I dont even put in up there anymore and would rather hunt up there than anywhere else. To much money to lose by reducing to many tags otherwise I believe they would of done it along time ago.

People who victimize kids are the lowest of the low. May a world of F!@# be apon them ! Prayers for this little girl.

It would be nice to have little more clarification(rules) for people on how to post items for sale due to the fact there are alot of people who dont know how. Most forums are actually pretty strict on classified forums. Asking the caliber isnt making anybody the "classified police."

Juan Miller?? I-10?? The only Juan miller I know is in 27 no where near I-10! Is there another one? Juan Miller in 27 would be an interesting area but would have to be careful due to wolves.

Really! You think any good can from you going on TV, into the livingrooms of the public and talk about Auction Hunters vs Regular Hunters?? It is one thing to discuss the division us hunters have amongst ourselves on a forum like this one, but to publically bash any form of legal hunting on National television is completely insane!!!! Think about it!!!! So you think tip toeing around people who are opposed to hunting will be more likely to get them on our side? Thats just flat BS! People need to quit trying to be politically correct around ignorant people and have the nutz to say it like it is! Its not like these guys are going on tv skinning an animal alive. This bill is wrong for our state and those of us who hunt in it. If elitist with big pockets are the way of our hunting future, we dont have a future in hunting!

Ok, so the season is a split. ASU is still irrellevant in basketball as usual. Funny how UA's down years are about what ASU good years look like in basketball!

yeah...what a first! Never known them to be money driven

I always heard big bucks go nocturnal, with less during the rut but I am far from an expert. Its funny to see a unit get slammed with hunters during the rifle season and not much come out but during the rut these huge ones come out of the wood work like they are all over. I always am curious if they travel or stick to cover more when pressured.

They already do it on Mt. Graham. Its supposedly for "public safety" due to snow and icey roads and other bs, yet they close it here before it even snows alot of times. Just an excuse cause they dont want people on the mountain. Its may be for a different reason then the Huachucas buty its still a closure. Always gotta love the "where doing it for your own good" crap the government feeds people. Whats worse is how many people buy it.

Watched a show on National Geographic about urban coyotes and the problems they cause near some of the cities. There point showed that coyotes are one of the most adaptable animals there is. They have survived many attempts by people throughout the years to be wiped out only to not work. Wolves and other animals didnt fare as well but coyotes always made it. The show demonstrated how they even learn by watching other coyotes(not pups but adults only) and evolve new tricks and survival skills to get by, just on watching how others did or did not do. Not suprising after watching that, why they dont come to the call when I call . -
Was that Mod 70 a newer FN made model or older one? I want my trigger dropped to about 2.5 lbs but none of the ones I talked to would go below the factory adjustable mark, which sucks. Interested in this post as well.
