The world has gone crazy
BeardownAZ replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I agree with this. But it wont be quick or easy. Mental health in this country needs a hard look at as well, maybe thats where it all needs to start. I dont know. These shootings just highlight quite a few serious issues going on in the country. Socially we are decaying and as a result bad things are happening. As a christian, I lean towards a lack of God in our society. Our moral compass is way off track and we are suffering the consequences because of it. Its really sad what things have become. -
First let me say this whole things just makes me physically sick to my stomach. I'll keep praying for these poor people. We might not lose guns out right, but high cap mags, AR, AKs are definetly on the chopping block. Problem is, we all know guns arent the only issue if the issue at all. Keeping places "Gun free zones" with no serious armed security to keep the creeps out as well just makes them easier for mass murder. Thus why they choose schools and shopping malls, etc. I'm to the point of not going into establishments that have No weapons signs on them. If they wont provide protection, I dont believe they should have the right to tell me I dont have the right to protect me and my family. Nobody can or will answer the question of "If the law abiding citizens turn over there arms, what about the criminal element that still has them and always will?"

The world has gone crazy

This world really seems to produce alot of evil these days, makes you question how people and society have gotten so far outta hand. But like the bible says, the end times will be full of suffering, and bad times. Things like today make it seem the rapture isnt to far off. -
Anybody try this powder? Seen it advertised as made specifically for the short mag calibers. Was also curious what bullet and grain seemed to work well out of the 270 WSM using this powder.

Replacement for nativity scenes

No, but plenty of wisea@# to be found in his administration. -
One other question I forgot to ask was, Is the silver(nickel plated?) winchester cases harder or no different to size??
-
I'm not ready to buy yet but was curious how it was if u got it. Is 4B Shooting Supply new? Havent seen it before while passing through Globe.

Thats very generous and I may take you up on that. Thanks. My goal is accuracy first, even if it means alittle slower fps. When I was younger and dumber(more so than now) I thought speed was the only way to go. If you shoot enough, you find quit the opposite can be true alot of times, in terms of achieving accuracy. I want it to shoot flat still but maintain good accuracy. I get decent accuracy now but think my rifle could do more. I'm also gonna get the trigger lightened and action glass bedded. Next time I am at Sportsmans I will pickup some of the 4831 if they have any.
-
4831 is Hogdon right? I keep seeing people post alot of good things with the bullets in the 140 grain weight on all kinds of different forums. I think I may start with that grain of bullet and see about the powders.
-
Have you got this yet? I got a Mueller 8-32x44 that is good but I need to get a 20 MOA base. I am thinking of starting over with new rings, base, the whole thing. I think this Vortex would be a good one for my Savage 10 FCP-K in 308. Not for hunting but long range shooting.

Ah Pasadena. The forbidden land to The Nogales North Kitties and all of their woeful fans. Here are a couple of observations: 1) those red uniforms the kitties were sporting were terrible. 2) already heard one "wait 'til next year" 3) already heard one "wait 'til RichRod gets his recruits in place" (FYI - RichRod was lucky to have Scott and Carey fall into his lap. Without them the kitties would have been lucky to win 2 games this year) 4) heard lots of blame towards Scott. Still waiting for: 1) "wait 'til basketball season because basketball is the kitties sport" 2) the kitties choked being up 10 in the 4th, giving up 24 in the 4th and losing the game 3) the SUNDEVIL defense stepped up and forced a bunch of turnovers and dominated the 4th quarter You have some valid points but doesnt alot of those apply to ASU as well?? Both with new coaches and both needing time to put there own guys in place. Remember Mackovic beat Koetter in there first debut together and we know who paned out to be better. Stoops also won in his first year with a horrible UA(3 wins) squad against Andrew Walter's highly touted team. UofA hasnt turned the page to being a better program and ASU isnt back to what Frank Kush once had it at or even close.
-
Not trying to get into a pissing contest with you, just talkin rival smack! ASU was the better team( i hate sayin it) and each side has it "classy" moments and fans. I guess with a horrible defense we should be happy to be going to a bowl game and even competing this year. I still can't believe Scott could have ALL 4 turnovers! Depressing. Crossing my fingers Carey returns but don't see it happening.
-
Yes he did, it was a very brief shake by both. Typical Tempe with grade school banter instead of taking a win with class. Sucks but ASU did what they had to too win.
-
I'll concede ASU wanted it more. But Matt Scott.. Good grief, could u turn it over a few more times!

Gun Control - coming to the U.S.

I went to the Snopes website and it claims that info is false and gave an explanation as to why. Weither or not Snopes tells the truth I dont know. I have no doubt were obama stands on the 2nd Amendment either way and his distortion about that he believes in the individual right to arms is not completely truthful. He hides his motives with double talk and such. You can see it in his words and actions. I provided the links below. http://www.thepoliticalguide.com/Profiles/President/US/Barack_Obama/Views/The_Second_Amendment/ http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/untreaty.asp -
Yes and even more lazy and entitled people who want more socialist government handouts. That's what this country has become. Now Obamacare will happen for sure, no repeal.

Yes, and no. The reason that UA got shut out was because Oregon was playing their starters in the second half. The reason they were playing their starters was because the outcome wasn't certain at half (not that it was close, it just wasn't 20+), ASU had the opportunity to play its starters against a lot of Oregon backups in the second half. Now, that being said if ASU had been able to make a field goal, punch it in from the one, and make a catch in the endzone on the last play of the game; the outcome could have looked a lot different. That would have put them within 5. Unfortunately, they didn't. What they did do was turn the ball over a lot, and give up an ungodly number of rushing yards. Those big runs in the first half were directly related to the lack of Will Sutton up front, that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. So all in all I really think both performances were pretty similar. ASU had trouble executing against the duck defense, and UA never could take advantage of opportunities that presented themselves. One thing is clear to me, Oregon is a big, bad football team and I for one hope they beat the pants off an SEC team in the BCS championship. Sutton would of helped, but you guys were beat in every aspect and still would of been with him in. Remember you guys lost to a bad Missouri which hurts the PAC because they are a bottom barrel SEC team. Still along ways to go for these programs to be thinking national recognition.
-
Graham has made you guys a better more disciplined team not doubt, but ASU is middle of the pac at best. Oregon could of easily put up 70+ points. They almost literally quite playing offense before the half was even over. The rest of the season should be interesting!

I do hope these a-holes get caught! Especially shooting up a trailer! Wildlife harassment is illegal, so they are already breaking the law as it is, let alone potentially murdering someone!!! I have been thinking about getting one of those solar security lights that you could rig up on the outside of the trailer and some may even have a photocell to come on at night when you arent there.

Obama - there he goes again
BeardownAZ replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Umm..Yes! The government is full of ladder climbers looking to make a name for themselves even if it means breaking the law. After all, it doesnt apply to them. Just ask Eric Holder! -
Rich Rod is a much smarter football mind than most coaches UA has ever had so maybe he can keep these things from happening. Hopefully keep there mind focused on the task at hand and not celebrating the previous weeks win still.
-
Too early to tell, but a move in the right direction. I'm just looking to see the program improve each week, I dont expect them to start winning alot in Rodriguez first year. I just dont see USC being the top though, not quite yet. I think Oregon is still more potent right but will see as the season goes on who has it.

Aimpoint has a newer model called the Aimpoint PRO. Basically its a Aimpoint Comp M3 at a lower price with the smaller 2 MOA red dot, a little less battery time(which wouldnt matter for a civilian anyways). The smaller red dot would give you alittle more distance to shoot if needed. Burris makes 2 or 3 red dot scopes but not sure how good they are.

Your paragraph nails it!

Italy took the gold on the last arrow by one. US beat the South Koreans, to be in gold medal contention, whose national sport is archery. I believe S. Korea was the favorite. Great job either way and so close to gold!
