I am selling my truck. Been a great truck that I would love to keep but need one that can carry the whole family. 2006 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 Regular Cab 6.5-ft bed Just under 77,000 miles This is the model that Ford built for a few years that is the Regular Cab (seats 3) that has the extra doors that access the area behind the seat. Great for getting gear in and out and the area behind the seat is big, big enough to fit a 5-gallon bucket. Truck has the 5.4L V8, 4 speed automatic transmission, tow package, air conditioning, power windows/locks, fog lamps, 6 CD player, cruise control Aftermarket: 2" Autospring Leveling Kit, 285/70/17 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO, Inyati spray-in bedliner, Weathertech floor mats The truck has been taken care of and is in very good condition. It was my hunting truck so it does have a few minor dings and it's share of desert pin-striping. Tires have ~17,000 miles on them. I got just over 45,000 on the first set of those tires so these should have lots of life left. With the power of the big v8, short wheel-base, and extra ground clearance, this truck does really good off-road. Asking $13,000. PM me if you are interested in seeing it.

Expensive optics - anyone have buyers regret???
kwp replied to mattys281's topic in Optics and tripods
Based on the classifieds and all the high $ binos that are constantly for sale after being used on only 1 or 2 hunts I'd say plenty of people have buyers remorse. For me, I have no remorse at all. I consider them an investment, saving me $$ over the long term. -

Swarovski EL 12x50 Swarovision and SLC 15X56 WB

When the 15 HDs came out I had a lot of these same questions and swarovski put me in contact with one of the top reps. He told me that it is not possible to get more than 12 power with the prism in the ELs. Swaro has already gotten all the magnification it can out of that prism. Higher magnification requires the SLCs. I too have been curious to see if swaro will come out with 20x or higher power binos. May require a mortgage to pay for em. -
In my 300 WM I'm shooting rem brass, Federal GM215m primers, and h1000. Loading them to magazine length so there's a pretty good jump, can't remember exactly. In my gun I started getting slight signs of pressure at 77.8 grns. Load I settled on was 77.3 grns going 2860 fps and 0.4 moa. Let us know how the load development goes.

I'm using a G7 BC of 0.318 and verified out to 900. Enjoy the bullets, what are you going to be shooting them out of?

Instead ASU keeps giving Sendek extensions and raises. The latest includes a big bonus if he gets to one NCAA tourney in a 3 year span. Miller would get fired if he made 1 in a 3 year span. Asu will never be good if the status quo is good enough.

Just like the title says, it's a myth.

Swarovski EL 12x50 Swarovision and SLC 15X56 WB

Those of you who gave up your 15s for 12s, did you give up the newer HD 15s or the older 15s. The newer ones are so much better than the old ones which must be considered. Also the newer 15s are much easier to hand hold then the older ones and I feel very comfortable hand holding them for short periods of time. If you are gonna be glassing for longer times they should be on a tripod regardless of bino power. -
If you click the "view the full article" link at the bottom it works just fine. Sweet ram!

Dialing or holding for windage is personal preference and getting comfortable with your gun and scope will allow you to do either. Stomp and lance are leading you in the right direction as far as elevation adjustments. Custom turrets are only exact for one condition. Any change in elevation, temp, humidity, barometric pressure, etc. will make them off. It will be negligible under certain conditions but it doesn't take much for it to become enough to matter. In my opinion moa or mil turrets are the only way to go. With the correct inputs into a ballistic calculator (shooter app) and prehunt field verification you can eliminate everything other than shooters error (correctly doping the wind is a whole other topic).

Anyone else notice the resemblance to Sparky??

Maybe the offense forgot to get off the bus

By the end of a long football season every team is beat up with injuries. It comes down to depth and the next guy stepping up. Was there anything lucky about UA going on the road to Utah, losing their QB for half the game and still putting the beat down on a quality opponent?

Devils are just used to beavers being easy.

Wow, most of you guys make it sound like you have to be rich, unethical, or both to kill big bucks. Try working hard and spending more time in the field than on coueswhitetail.com .

Amazing! Congrats Jody on another great buck. Is there a record book for muzzleloader coues?
-
There are a lot of other ways to tell the species of deer other than tail. Ears and coloration on their head and face are two of the more obvious ones. Take a look at a picture of the face of a mule deer vs coues and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Sweet bull! How'd the bullet perform?

This was my same reaction when I heard this, no way a wolf just happened to wander thousands of miles to the #1 place the enviros want to put wolves. Surely somebody planted it there and broke some law in doing so.

AZ Wildlife Designs. The most beautiful mounts I've ever seen!!!

It took you until opening afternoon to kill him, you must be losing your game! That's gotta be your longest hunt in a long time. All kidding aside, congrats on another sweet buck. You are a monster buck killing machine!
