Did the doctor give a name to the swelling? It sounds like you have what is referred to as runners knee, swelling on the underside of the petela. Your best bet is to rest it, if as you said you don't have access to a pool or bike. The pain should subside after a couple days, just remember R.I.C.E.

I decided 3 weeks ago i should probably shoot a Bear this year and check it off the to do list. First weekend out was spent helping a friend kill his fall turkey. While glassing for bears in 23 we stumbled upon some turkeys and he killed one. After that weekend I went out a few times with my girl glassing for bears and calling predators, without a bear sighting. Last weds. my buddy and I went glassing and glassed up a bear 1600 yards away right at 6pm, needless to say we could not kill this bear that night. After spending a couple days scouring google earth for a way to get to this bear, we finally said screw it and started hiking an hour and a half before sunrise to get to where we needed to be. After just missing the opportunity to kill this bear at around 9am yesterday morning, i was able to connect on a 150 yard shot around noon, bringing my short lived bear quest to a very exciting and fulfilling end. It took us Just about 3 hours to pack this bear back to the truck but all the cactus, scratches, blisters, and bruises were well worth it. Thanks again Brandon

Haha thanks Vowell! After the first shot hit him I was shaking so bad I couldn't shoot straight if I wanted to. Luckily the first offhand shot was all it needed.

Split the difference and just buy a good pair of 12x50s. Much lighter and the best of both worlds!

Check out Haley Vines at www.EvoOutdoors.com! My girl is 5'8" and 130lbs (all legs) so finding pants was a nightmare. The Haley Vines come in smaller sizes and in long. They fit her perfectly and I can't make fun of her any longer for wearing high waters!
