    Record Book Withdrawals

CHD Sounds to me Carbon dating aside fo course you did not submit to an book based on respect for the animal. You di dit to see your name in the book. If you respected the animal why did'nt you put its name in the book instead of yours. This site is a good place to come to chat and gain info regarding something we all have a common interest in. HUNTING. Not bitching! Save it for your campfire. I took the time to read the entire string and its not hard to determine you are looking for an argument. Wanna talk about hunting or your hunts we would be glad to read about it. If your here to bitch go were not really interrested. .270/Lark is a contributor to the dialog on this site and a respected person regardless fo how inappropately you chose to treat him. I am sure he does not appreciate it nor do the rest of us. Net Net CHD We're not your drinikng buddies are are offended by your crap!

    36A Coues Hunt

Fletch I 'll see if I can get my wife to make another pair of Chaps/Gators for ya. After too many run ins with the evil tree razors I found some thick boat canvas and my wife found a pattern for Gators. I used them last year for the first time and they are great a little hot but nothing made it through them and my pants.

    36A Coues Hunt

trufletch Thats exactly where I am talking about. I would like to know as much about it as you can share. I want to spend a day or two up there in Nov. How far up can I drive. Is there a lot of hunter traffic. Can I hike in and out daily? Question I have often wondered how much better an area will become over the course of a month when the primary lion is removed from an area. Batamore for instance. So if I tookt he lion in Oct would it really make any difference beyond 3 or 4 less deer eaten by the time I got back. Which is significant. What do you think.

    36A Coues Hunt

Lots of BIG cats. The j 13 is something. I was messing around last Feb HAM hunt. Just sitting back having a snack and figured I would try to call in a few pigs. Bow only no side arm stupid for sure. Mr kitty came way to close before I even noticed him. When I did I was a bit hasty is trying to set up a shot. I was not sure if it was going to be defensive and missed him low. I tried to nock another arrow and he was gone. Glad because he had the advantage for a few seconds there. I was near the Japanese Tank off Ruby Road. Where did you guys call in and bag the TOM.

    Poaching in Arizona

net net poachers are bums. They do not care about anything. I think they should be prosecuted for theft. I have found more deer then I can count on my farm when I lived back East. On more then one occasion I found the carcus field dressed and drying in a tree no tag. Out here its a bit different the law does not seem to care. If you got caught in NY with a illegal bag they took your kill, your gun, your license and you were never going to see them again. Gun sold at auction! Hunters are the reason poachers get caught. See them report them regardless of how much time it takes you. If not your part of the problem not he solution! One thing I will admit is its a lot harder to get a tag here and the hunts are short. Some of these guys just snap I think. Chase a big bruising ghost for a week and find him the next month while pig hunting and it takes some restraint to not take him. heck tell them to get a lion tag and go at it.

    36B

I've spent soem time in 36B. Foun dit best to take Ruby Road as far in as you can. Lots of Coues. Take Ruby road for sure. When you see the Austerlitz mine its at a Y in the road as you head right great area a few good camping spots. Roads run all through the area. Stay to the right and you can walk or ride if you ahve a good one up the road to hunt the ridges. I have jumped a ton of the Ghosts up there. Good water most of the winter. Lots of ravines. If you wan to hunt the bottom keep you eyes up. There are a lot of great Lion ledges there and with the Coues and Pigs in the area the Lions are big and fat! Less 4 legged foot traffic as close to the border as it is. There are a lot fo roads and good views. Not really the area to be crossing if you want to stay out of view.

Trouble and Danger in UNIT 34A

Manamal Its not my nature to question those who act as I would. in this case I think its worth it. You put yourself in great danger and are lucky you are not hurt or dead. A few facts. The party boys were not looking for trouble in fact they went as far from population as they could. They were unfortunate to get to the end fo the road just as you did. When you decided you did not like how they were enjoying the wild you grabbed your stuff. good idea. Then you I am assuming pretty safely were upset and walked into their camp(party) knowing they were reckless and probably drunk you should have also assumed there were more of them then you and they were also armed. So with a GUN on you. You them what you thought of them. I think you were thinking little and acting big. I would probably do the same, but that does not mean it was smart. You went into a camp of people you did not know MEN like you. You expected them to listen to you tell them what for and cower. You had your GUN on and in view I am assuming to protect your self and intimidate them. If I was them I would question your motivation and they did. You don't like being called names and having guns pointed at you. Don't put yourself in a position for that to happen. I'll protect you as much as anybody and thats a fact, but i think the only diferecne between you and our departed friend is you can tell the story. For your sake and your families sake realize your not the only MAN in the wild west and there are a lot of stupid men who will end your story before it gets told. take care of yourself
