I had expected to miss the Archery hunt. Knee surgery on 12/9. The Doctor did some voodoo and I am already riding a stationary bike. I now believe I will be able to hunt late int eh archery hunt. I expect to head back to unit 36. How late does the rut generally last. Couse and Mule if you know and i bet you do. thanks GN

Brian If its the Brian Payne I think it is. Never believe what Kevin tells you when ranging. You know he did'nt want to see you get that big 7x7 it would have shamed the one you had to opack out for him a few years ago! Seriously on the shot. If you were short you probably would have seen something kick up below him and he probably would have been making tracks earlier. over the top had him looking both ways to find you and he never did. by the way I have been waiting 4 years for that tag and i am assuming its gonna be a few more. My Uncle owns a place back east. He was in Highlnd NY until just recently he relocated dto Durham New Hampshire. He owns Archers Great Outdoors and probably knows why she moved ther to train. She may train with some of his crew. I ahve not yet seen any #-d out here like back EAst but that does not mean they do nto exist. My Uncles place had an indoor fully automated 3-d game range with realistic trees rocks the whole deal. More thena dozen 3d targets several of which move. Outdoor range includes a 18 hole 3-d target course and a seperate 9 hole target course. It is generaly accessable year round and very challenging. Not to mention ther is a different contest in the area most every week. If your into Cowboy shooting my Uncle is known as Tony Highland(Esposito is his real name.) He does not look the part but if somebody wants to bet you a buck take Tony and start to count your money.

Thanks for the directions. I thought that was the deer when I was going through the pictures. unit 34B. I can see why the Lions might stay away from him. Those things look like the would go right through you. Some rack.
-
I can't find this picture of this monster help. Might be harder then finding the deer himself
-
Must admit I did not see nearly as many Coues as I expected. I did however see more Mule Deer then I would have known what to do with. Very large does and a few very respectable bucks. Thinking I may stay off the hills durin gthe Archery hunt and take a big mule. GN

Grew up on a farm in upstate NY. MyUncle would never let me shoot any fo them. We had a strange heard of Albino WhiteTail. Only one was completely white. There were 4 total. One had white patches like a cow the otehr two had almost all white from the mid back. I watched thema lot but never took one of them. ITs been almost 10 years since I hunted the farm and nobody is out there otherwise. I'll make a run up there this Christmas when I get back ther and get a few pics for ya. GN They stand out like sore thumb until it snows!

any chancee you got down to Batamore for some Quail
-
okey dokey. I'm done for the year and there are a whole lot of em. Big Fat ones. Arivaca Rd to Batamroe Ranch Road. Take the ranch road through the Ranch just stay left on the major road and when it takes a sharper left godoen and throught the ranch. About another 3 to 5 miles I can send you the GPS you will see low cement tank on the right. If you miss it you will hit a gata in about another 1/4 to 1/2 mile. Take a left at the cow tank. Head down the road a bit. Just before you come to the old tall water tank and just after there are more coveys then I knew what to do with. Enjoy.

Not srue what part of 36 A your heading to but I have a great spot and I 'm done for the year. I did chase one big butt buck all over that mountain and he is still running!!
-
Not sure where he was but I can assure you I spent the better part of two days chasing his brother or father over a big mountain in Southern 36A and he is still running!!!
-
Scottyboy Any chacne you pulled me over Saturday night on my way to meet the boys in Arivaca? When I pulled off Batamore Road a BP truck was waiting for me. My taillight fuse had blown. I never got the chance to go to the dinner I arranged!!! By the way I know ther eis nothing you can personally do but Sunday was ruined by 9 of our visitors hiding in a stand of trees while I tried to fidn a buck in the same stand. Then they walked across a very open area a long way after the helicopter came by! Any chance I can use that copter to find the Coues they helped get away.

36A Batamore Hill West Side More then you would know what to do with.

-
headed down to Arivaca to meet at 8pm and was stopped as soon as I hit the pavement by the Border PAtrol. Apparently I had shaken a fuse lose and my back lights were out. I had brake and flasers but that was nto good enough. I was told it was must I return to my base camp which I has to detail to them. Funny times I tell ya. Sorry we could not make it
-
Anybody interested in getting together for dinner saturday for the Nov 12th hunt Arivaca needs the business!
-
Assuming most of you are heading to the woods. I will stop by at 8pm to see if anybody has shown up. If so see ya there if not good luck. George Noto Will be wearing my favorite orange ball cap. GN

I'm not doubting you are sneaking up on them in New Mexico. If you can do that here I would love to see the trick. Were they in the RUT?
-
Only one more day!
-
So its that time again. Nto sure if the early hunts ahve started mines in mid Nov. Anybody use a Tag yet?
-
what the hells over kill. Killed is killed. Dead is dead the faster the better. The over kill logic is not logic. If you can shoot it strait and the animal is taken without a struggle your using the right weapon!
