36B Finally after 9 years !! Dec hunt- pointers?
pirogue replied to CrazzyJ's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Maybe those that volunteered a PM to the “Newby-Need info-Never return” users, should reply with results. -
This was dinner one night, a couple weeks ago.

I just looked at the harvest/quota threshold table last week, for the first time. Waited on phone hold for 15 min to see if updated(gave up/hung up). So if I read correctly, 5 of the 17 zones have reached harvest threshold, and the unit with the second highest harvest threshold, only has 4% harvested to date. Anyone else watched the table on a regular basis and think the thresholds are out of whack with the true number of cats available? Is this because the appeal to certain units is more desirable, or some harvests reached when other game was the actual intended target?

Congratulations.

Not if you set a foothold. Did you move the trap away from barn? Yote return?

I have land in the South and we have problem feral hogs. People shoot em. When you wait on G&F to get involved, it’s too late.

I was responding for the post referencing out of state needs, not as the way to get an AZ point.

One simple solution is take another states H-E course. They’re all administered by the same online system, and therefore recognized anyway. I just took NM course online, which has no field day requirement, for a different state’s requirement.

Seems like it was that guy’s time to go, if 1st death in 94 years. Never walked up on one.

Congrats. That’s some good work

Nice, congrats

That libtard, treehugger state of CO, requiring hunter ed for anyone born after 1949? Come on, 75 or older to be exempt? 😯

NM Senator - Lord have mercy on us!!

I guess they think, since they border Colorado, means they got to turn libtard, treehugger just like thier neighbor. -
So since we get older while waiting on the 23’s, which of the 23’s has milder terrain to better accommodate an older person?

Doesn’t the old adage, “you get what you pay for”, apply. But now, Dodge is known for cheaper, and cheater.

Nice buck, congrats.

Most are going to keep some of their parent’s stuff, especially if it is old. I had an estate sale on my mom’s house a couple years ago, and I didn’t hesitate on letting the cast iron go, because I had already gotten a couple of pieces of hers several years ago, or acquired older pieces on my own. Not saying everyone should’nt have a couple pieces, but no point in hoarding post ‘64 Lodge, and other pieces dated afterwards.

Are you indifferent to brand? Been several years since I replaced mine, but they may have went up, and it pays to shop around. I went to a big name tire place, and the guy shows me a tire and says, “this is what the ranchers around here use”. (They didn’t have my size). Went to another place, and the guy says, “this is what most of the recreation riders use around here”. ( Thought I would check with another place). Go in to an ATV store, and the guy says, “This is the only thing the Border Patrol will buy and use”. BINGO, I’ll take em.

I also have a Cabela’s, and was always satisfied, until recently, when I went to Food Saver brand bags. They appear to seal tightly at first, but then allow a little air in after a couple months. I don’t know why one side of the Food Saver bag has that grid texture, which plainly is harder to seal, than a smooth surface side. Could be my Cabela’s is just getting old and needs replaced. Several people seem to like their Wesson or Weston brand sealer. (Not sure of spelling)

HANDGUN for the HAM hunt? How is that defined as a handgun, with a bipod mount, no less?

Interesting to see “Robbing the Neighborhood” app get so many 1 stars last week, after accounts froze. Then these 1 star ratings are erased and rating goes up. Turns up that one of the firms giving RH a cash infusion last week, was a firm that was an early investor in Google. Big Tech controlling again.

Definitely been a better year for the Gambel’s, as we got a lot of rain in February last year.

Who only wants to hunt one day, you or her? My kids and I hunt everyday we can.
