Nat. Geo. Mapping software
AZ RANGER replied to mattobertin's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Does anyone know if this software is compatible with windows Vista . My wife just bought it for me and the box says that it works with XP but does not say Vista. I don't want to open the box if it will not work with my system. Thanks -

access to santa teresa mountains
AZ RANGER replied to minguscoues's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Ft Grant or Ft Thomas? I think you mean Ft Thomas. I believe there may be acess via Black Rock rd near Ft Thomas this would be on the Northeast end of the range. I have never been in from that direction. so I can't speak from expierience. There is also access off of the Klondike Aravipa road and this is the way I go. Hope that helps a little. -
Drew my first spring turkey tag Unit 27. Now I have to try and learn how to turkey hunt before it opens. Also drew Jan. Archery peccary again. Unit 28,29,30,31,32. I love chasing deer and pigs at the same time, nothing like having options.

Hey AZOnecam. I am pretty sure I talked to you at camp right before you pulled out. I am the ranger at the state park you were staying at. I could tell you were a little down on your luck. As I was talking to you I was thinking I should tell you to stay and I would go with you the next day and help you glass, but it seemed like you already had your mind made up. I wish I would have offered to help now. If you get down this way again let me know.

AZ RANGER replied to AZantlerhead's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Congrats on a great buck. Enjoyed the story as well. -
Great story. I don't dare let my wife hear this one. I have trying to get her to go hunting with me, but this story would surely scare the heck out of her. So what was your wife thinking as he was charging you was she ready to shoot him off you if you did not connect? Crazy!
