Thanks for the replies. I think I have it narrowed down some more now. My plan now is to get the velbon sherpa 600 AND a smaller tripod like the slik mini or the slik sprint pro for all day hikes. One question for any that know about the Sherpa. What is the diffrence between the 600ra and 600rf. The only thing I see is that the rf comes with a head attached but it also has less weight cappacity. Anybody have any experience with these. If I do get both tripods I will have to put the 700rc2 head on hold for a while , but i would be nice to have an option what do you guys think

Thanks GH I would def. take you up on that offer if you were closer. Does anybody else have experience using 15's with the sprint mini.

In my case having a liteweight tripod is much more a priority than being able to stand behind. I am 6-03 so I will have to slouch to stand behind most anyway. Thanks

Which brunton one did you get? How much did you spend on it?

Congrats on an excellent year.

Not that it matters much cause he is a no brainer for me if he gives me a shot, I just wonder where he would score if I do get to stick a muzzy between his ribs. I was in the stand on Wednesday afternoon and he was there on camera Wed. morning and Tues. afternoon. I hope to get lucky and get a shot before the season ends. What do you think???

I'd like to start a debate.....about points....

Just to make it more confusing, You never hear of a 12 or 14 point elk it is always 6x6 or 7x7 and eye guards are counted. Even the yankees call them that way. -
friggen sweet buck, Good Luck

That sucks Jason. Hopefully you will get it back before hunting season. Good luck

There starting to get some size, I hope they keep coming in once the season opens. I had 108 pictures in 6 days with the set to take 1 pic every 5 mins. My first rabbit, My 3 year old liked this one. I liked this one, he has a non typical point coming off his left side Check out the dark skin patches on his neck, weird I am fond of this one also

I finally saved enough cash to add another camera to my collection. I am going to buy a covert but can't decide which one to get. Has anyone used both? Is the covert II worth the extra $$ Thanks

I had this camera set up for 1 week and got a good amount of activity, but no bruisers yet. This lion was the first visitor I caught on camera after leaving the area. If you look close I think his mouth is open Bear Some Fuzzy Antlers And a fat doe
