Just came back from 23. I was watching a flock of 23 hen turkey cross the road I notice the void on my passeneger seat where my camera should be, so I have no pics of the stuff I seen . I saw 3 nice coues bucks running together, 4 doe and 2 mullie fawns, 2 cow elk, and about 60 turkey in 4 different flocks. So I get to my trail camera and notice all my salt that I put out is gone...I check the sd card and have just under 300 pics. My heart starts pumping in anticaption of the monster bucks I am about to see... Well I have 3 pics of a crow and about 275 pics of these 3 cows.... Not sure if there is a rifle hunt for coues in 23 in the next few days; but if you do have a tag, send me a pm and I will tell you where the 3 coues bucks were. James

I put out some salt which was gone in 5 days. If you look above the "Panda's" right ear in the 2nd pic, you can see my sent dripper. I made a scrape, dont think it did any good. I moved the cam to a place that can be seen by almost everyone. I know I'm tempting fate, but I had it there for a month before the archery deer in August. I took it down the night before the hunt, someone even hung a tree stand on the same tree as my camera... Here are some pics from August, along with my cam and lock box.

ALL dog and cat owners please read

For those who do not know, I work for Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. Please do not hate me... I work at the Shelter in Mesa. I care for them after they are brought to us. I am an adoption counselor, animal behavior specialist, and a certified Euthanasia Technician. I should have posted this a few months ago. Basically if your dog or cats gets out and is brought to ANY county or city shelter or pound in the state of Arizona, it WILL be spayed or neutered and implanted with a microchip BEFORE it goes home with you. If you do not want it spayed or neutered, you must pay FULL fees applied for the impound of the animal AND a $50 "privilege" fee to have them intact(able to make babies). On July 10th Governor Brewer signed HB 2458 " dogs; cats; release from pound" into law. This is a great victory for MCACC and great news for all animal shelters throughout the State. Basically, this new Statute mandates that all animals entering any shelter be spayed or neutered and implanted with a microchip before being released to their owners unless any of the following occurs: 1. The dog has a current dog license at the time the dog entered the pound. 2. The dog or cat is already spayed or neutered. 3. There is no veterinary facility capable of performing surgical sterilization within a twenty mile radius of the pound. 4. A veterinarian determines that a medical contraindication for surgery exists that reasonably requires postponement of the surgery until the surgery can be performed in a safe and humane manner. 5. If the animal is quarantined, that the bite occurred in the premises of the owner and the victim is a member of the same household. 6. The owner pays a fifty dollar recovery fee, in addition to any fees or costs otherwise required pursuant to this article. James T. -
Well I just put upmy cam in 23 yesterday. I was thinking about the 2 that were taken... I placed it on a hill side thick with oak instead on that little seap I found. I hung one of those sent drippers and placed some salt also. first time I'm using anything other than water. On the way there I saw some turkey. I was able to get close for a few pics. I also spotted some mule deer does (girl carp) bedded down and took some pics when they finaly spotted me and stood up. I jfound these sheds with in 100 yards of my camera spot. Lots of fresh elk and deer tracks...Looking foward to the pics in about 2 weeks, hope my camera is still there... Enjoy the pics
