  1. I went after some rabbits last night. I hit 3; but 2 were in the butt and I pierced one's ear. Went out again this morning and first marble hit her in the head. Lunch will be served soon....

Scared the crap out of my turkey pullets

I will have compassion till mid August. Had 3 last year and butchered them before the Deer kick off. Biggest one was over 15lbs and smallest one was over 12lbs.
  4. I was messing around with my flextone predator caller. Just playing with the turkey sounds in preparation for the OTC turkey coming up. I was in the back yard with my 5 turkey pullets getting their reaction... When I hit the Aggressive tom Gobble all heck broke loose. It was sad. I was laughing pretty good. They are 32 days old today. I guess they know when they hear a boss tom they need to mind their manners or else.....

    A little Carp fishing

First spot caught a White Amur on some bread. Not a giant but still stripped some line off the real. Moved to a different canal. Caught a little cat on corn. Then I thought I had another Amur; but turned out to be this very nice cat on corn. She was longer than a 7 gallon bucket. It looked like she might have some eggs in her so I put her back. Went to another canal. Caught some carp, and more little cats on bread and corn. Had a blast. Going to take my 5 year old out in a few days when she is feeling better. Thanks Big Browns for the reminder that there is fish 3 minutes from my house.

    A little Carp fishing

Alright. Pole is loaded, got bread, corn, and some romaine lettuce for bait. Also have some stale tortilla chips to chum the waters. Going to hit the canals when the wife gets home. Thanks Big Browns for the idea. Hope to land at least one.....

Any one lose a Buffalo mount

I swear I saw one on N. Bush Highway heading toward the 87 in the back of a trailer...
  11. Still looking for a job TJ. I am always open to constructive criticism. I was after rabbits for the freezer. I will be honest and say I rushed the shots. Last night the shots were at about 25+ yards. They would not allow me to get close. They were more spooky in the evening. This morning, I just walked and never made eye contact and drew. Once at full draw, I stopped and was about 14 yards and made the shot. They were less spooky in the morning.

    Bartlett, Horseshoe Lake and dam.

Went out in my inflatable pontoon row boat Saturday to Bartlett. Was on the water at Yellow Cliffs at 6am. Came into a few bluegill around the sticks. No crappie at all for me or the 3 boats I talked to. Went to Horseshoe Lake. Water was clear. No bites, and the wind was killing me. Tried my luck below the dam. Put my little row boat in and sat on the sand bar away from everyone. Ended up catching 32 channel cats. Kept 12. All caught on raw shrimp and hot dogs. Biggest was about 6 pounds on the East side of the Dam. All others were in the 2 pound or smaller range. The bite really slowed down by 11am. Went to Red Mountain pond Sunday night with 2 shrimp, flash light and a dip net. Caught 27 crawdads. I only targeted the bigger ones. Would have had more; but the flashlight died on me. Only took pics of the crawdads.

    Bartlett, Horseshoe Lake and dam.

TJ, everyone I talked to were after crappie or bass. I saw 2 guys in their 20's catching bass with some type of jerk baits. I watched them catch about 15 total in about a half hour. They were on shore across from Yellow Cliffs.

Woman Stops Bear Attack With .25 Caliber Pistol

Hey bbd1234 we still Bear hunting this weekend I need to know how many bullets I need for my Pistol. The way Richard shoots, you wont need any. That dude is a dead eye.
  25. Woman Stops Bear Attack With .25 Caliber Pistol This is a story of self control and marksmanship. A woman survived a bear attack with one well placed shot from her itsy bitsy .25 caliber Beretta Jetfire. These are her own words.: While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend, we were surprised when a huge bear came charging at us out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive. If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire I would not be here today! I yanked it out of my purse and fired one shot. It hit my boyfriend in his kneecap and the bear caught him easily. While the grizzly mauled the poor cripple, I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace. I love that pistol. copied this from a buddies facebook
