Deer Cane Used on Coues Deer

That might have been me. The forest Service guy said it was illegal to put up tree stands, cameras, or bait (feed any animal) on "wilderness land" http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26902&st=0&p=266050&fromsearch=1entry266050 Below is a copy paste from the story As I’m breaking camp, a Forest Service truck pulls up. The guy stops in the middle of the road, jumps out and is writing down my plate number. Still in a high from a great buck, I yell out my plate number and invite him into what is left of my camp. He said that he heard I shot a nice buck. I tell him of my morning. He asks if I had any salt out and I said no. He tells me of a spot not too far away that was salted, and had a camera. He tells me that it is on Wilderness land and it is illegal to place anything on the ground or in a tree. He tells me that he is going to sneak in there tonight and take the camera and leave the guy a ticket, and that its going to cost the owner of the camera $300 to get it back; because that’s how much the ticket is. Now I’m thinking… He just told me it was illegal to hang anything from a tree on Wilderness Land; but HE is going to “hang” the guy a ticket from a tree on Wilderness Land… I got tired of him and just turned my back with a see ya later and finished breaking my camp. This guy had NO people skills, was very short, and was very monotone… -

Where specifically can you read up on this type of information?? Last year as I was breaking camp after I tagged my buck, a Forest Service guy pulled up and asked if I had a camera and salt in this one area. I told him I was 1/4 mile away from that spot, and that my camera had been down for 2 days. He told me it was against the law to put anything,(tree stands, cameras, salt, corn, and anything else) on "Wilderness" land. I asked if the forest was considered wilderness and he said no to look at the map to find the wilderness areas. He was a real @$$ about it. He had no people skills. -

I was deleting all of my sd cards. I came across this buck from last August. I have never seen him before. I hope he decides to hang around this year. He looks to be a 5x6 or 5x7 if his kickers kick out...

If you got drawn, they check your 1st choice. If all the tags are gone in that hunt they go to your 2nd, 3rd and so on. If your were not drawn (like myself) it will just list your 1st choice. Hope this helps

I got drawn for unit 48 East Chupacabra Rut Hunt. My friend's, cousin's, wife's grandpa's ex-lover's grandson's dog groomer's wife who works for the forest service, told me that it is a guaranteed hunt! I'm stoked. Time to dust off the old slingshot!!! Good luck everyone. James T.

A year ago this past Christmas, I was lucky enough that Santa (mom&dad) gave me a pair of Redhead 10x42's. I have used them and used them alot. Last week while looking through them, I noticed that the right side was just a little higher than the left while looking through them. This was causing me a headache. I stopped by Basspro after work today and talked to Optics (Zach) and Customer Service (Joshua).I told them I wanted them fixed.I also told them that they were a gift over a year ago. 10 minutes later I was walking out the door with a new pair at no charge!!! THANK YOU!!!

I was going to pay to have them fixed. Was not expecting a new pair
