Tan older female pit mix and a male boston terrier?
-
I bought a plastic snow sled from Wal-Mart. I put my last deer and another guy's deer back in August on it and pulled them right out. I drilled extra holes in the sides so I could tie the deer down so it would not fall off. Total cost to me was $15... Plus when my girls are old enough we will be taking it up North when the snow falls

Sorry guys and gals. This will have to do until the kids are alseep, then I will do a write up! This is how fast it happened according to my text message time stamps to my wife. 6:15pm-Buck spotted moving in 6:32pm-Killed a buck, pics soon Long story short. Filling out a job application on Monday. Meet this guy who is also a hunter, Richard, A.K.A. bbd1234. We start talking, and he states he knows a spot or tow to get some bucks. Talking all week long. My wife is out of town and the kids are at the grandparents house for a few days. I'm free to hunt one maybe two nights. Saturday after work, I meet with Richard. We glass for about 45 minutes and move to a different spot. Half hour later back at the first spot. 2 minutes later I hear ''Bucks" I glass and see a buck and a doe. I told him I am after meat for the freezer and he will do. We both knew he was a BIG buck. We make our plan and take off running. down the wash over the hill, down another wash to the saddle They were going to cross this saddle and we will be ready for them. As we are setting up, I look to my right and see the doe and the buck almost down wind. I start cussing. How did they get ahead of us so fast... over and over again. I range the buck at 181 and the doe at 160. We follow the cross wind to give us more time. They are heading straight at us and we at them. I lose sight of the doe and I know what bush the buck is behind at 96 yards. We creep up closer and I stop cause I see the doe. 20 yards and closing. She stops at 12 yards and looks behind her. The buck is in my range heading toward us with his head down. I come to full draw. The doe turns takes a step and freezes locking eyes on me. Richard is 2 feet behind me calling off yardage every 3 seconds as the buck is moving toward us. The buck stops and cause of the frozen doe. He also locks eyes on me. I hear 35 and as Richard says yards my arrow is already in the air. We watch as my Tracer knock disappears into the chest of the buck and pops out behind it. I see the blood spraying from his chest. He runs for 42 yards and stops. Sways right, left, and does a back flip into the Cholla Cactus patch. I get my arrow and its covered with blood and its stomach contents. WE head over and drag the buck out of the cactus. As we are high fiving we both look the East as the original doe wide and 4x5 are staring at us not 30yards away and take off back the way they came. I send Richard to the truck to get my sled. ( I got a plastic kids snow sled, makes it EASY to drag out your game and is easier on the back) I clear away a pile of dead wood so I can have an area to clean my buck. As I kneel down I feel a cactus go into my knee. As I stand up I see the scorpion hanging from my knee by its tail. (which hurts more today than yesterday) We head to Richard's house to clean up and show his daughter the deer. I'm off the Payson and young. Big thanks to Browning's Custom Meats for opening up late for my drop off. (11:00pm is when I left) Bigger thanks to Dale and Heather at Wild Heritage Taxidermy for opening up their shop AND house for this tired hunter who needed the nap on their couch(12:45am) And a Big thanks to Richard (bbd1234) for taking me to one of your honey holes. (your secret is safe with me)

Get a hold of member Ernesto C. He lives down there and has helped many young hunters. He is a great guy -
A friend saw this deer sticker in the window of a truck and posted it on my Facebook wall. But the "Other" sticker caught my eye. This was today in Yuma

I dont know what happened to him, but I will take him if I can
bowhuntaz1 posted a topic in Trail Cameras
I have been watching this buck for over a year now. I dont know what happened to him to cause his broken antlers, or the scar down his back; But if I get the chance, I will put an arrow in him. I will start with pictures from last year. Pictures from Last month. You can see some of the hair loss in the first picture on his shoulders. Now from this month. Notice the deformed face now. There is a road with in a half mile. I have not gotten an lions on cam in this spot; but that does not mean that they are not there. Any guesses as to what might have happened? -

Not sure. I', guessing he is only 5 or 6 years old... There is one other in this spot I'm interested in. Not much on length but has some mass. I wont know what to do until I let my arrow fly. -

I have kinda been thinking the same thing -
I just can't thank Dale and Heather enough. They don't know but I scouted for a Taxidermist for 5 years before I decided on the one that put out the results I was looking for. The amount of detail they put into their work is phenomenal!!! The pictures just don't do it justice.
